Lotion Tanning

I am looking for a decent self tanner that I can use on my shoulders. I have a pretty good farmers tan (not really that tan, just darker than the rest of my skin) going on and I have to wear a dress in a few weeks that shows my shoulders. It looks pretty silly! I have used those lotions a long time ago and I always worry about looking orange. I am fair skinned so I just want something to blend in, not really give me a tan. Anyone have any recommendations for a good one?

What can I do next?

If you're still looking for a good sunless tanner, you may want to consider L'Bri Pure n' Natural's sunless tanner, it's amazing. It's a white cream and has no dies in it so your skin won't turn orange. The cream has aloe vera as the first ingredient and it uses the natural amino acids in your body to turn your skin the same color you would normaly tan. It's very natural looking and is only $15. Check it out at suenelson.lbri.com.

I use Jergens as well (although I think it smells a little funny), but I have found that Hawaiian Tropic makes a GREAT one, and it smells like green tea! I found it at our local supermarket, but you might be able to find it at Target, Wal-Mart, or even online. Good luck!

I have very fair skin (if not pale) but tan very easily in the summer. I use Dove Energy Glow (for medium skin tones - the one for fair skin tones doesn't do very much for me) in the winter and it works very nicely. After 2 applications it gives a nice subtle tan. I've never tried Jergens because I have had 2 friends warn against the orange glow it gave.

Otherwise, if you're up for it, you could try a spray-tan in a salon. A few years ago I went to a salon and got a spray-tan (I think this type of tan is called a mystic tan). It was fairly inexpensive (I think the first tan it was something like $10) and made me actually look like I had spent a few days outside tanning.

Hope you find something that works!

I have been using the lotion from Jergens (Natural Glow Daily Moistureizer) on my legs. It is pretty natural, not giving a ton of color but enough not to glow. It is not a self-tanner necessarily but works slowly. After a week you have nice color. Hope it works for you.

I would suggest calling local tanning salons, I don't like to sit and cook under the sun or in the booths but they do do a spray on tan that works great. I've used it a couple of times for different ocassions. That way they can blend it into your existing tan.

I love the one made by L'bri...that is made here in Mukwonago...you would have to visit their website or find a consultant to buy it from. It isn't orangey (that was my worry too) and it really blends in nice!!
