Looking to Buy a Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System (To Remove Fluoride)

Hello everyone. I would like to remove the fluoride out of our drinking water at home, and have learned that a Reverse Osmosis system is the best way to accomplish this (Brita filters do not remove fluoride). There are, however, a huge range of options out there. Currently Costco has an online deal for a 3 gallon under-the-counter WP4-V system for $150, which is at the very low end of the price spectrum. Does anyone know whether this type of system is good enough, or what the reasons are to buy a higher-end system? Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

I have heard that the Multi-Pure filters are also excellent. Best, B.

L.-
Dental & health studies show that removing fluoride from our children's water source (due mostly to the increased use of bottled water) has resulted in increased cavities in our children. Are your children allergic to fluoride or does it upset their stomachs?
Just thought I'd share... no judgement here. We filter our water as well for other substances, but it leaves the fluoride intact.
Just food for thought.

I just spoke with my dentist and my pediatrition and both said tap water is fine for yourself as well as your children. There are necesaary minerals in the water for us and Flouride is one of them. If your going to ever do bottled water only do natural spring water. Augua fina and the like are basically sewer water processed and bottled. For some sad reason we think we have to drink bottled water. Marin county has very good water. You can call your public works and they will tell you the percentage of minerlad in it.

Hi L.,
My husband and I have been using this brand "Love" water distiller for years. They are totally effective(my husband is a scientist) and inexpensive...made by American Water Distillers(www.waterdistiller.com)
We just have the basic model, but the other one's look nice too:)

We bought the one from Costco and are going to have our water tested after we have it up and running. Costco has an excellent return policy and we asked before purchasing it if we could return after having used it. They said it would be easier with the box and the receipt but we could definately return. I would rather pay less if we can so we figured we try here first.

I would look into Multipure if I were you, I can probably give you a deal since I am a distributor for them in San Rafael, but first check it out online, I know that Costco is cheap but check what they are actually filtering out, as far as I know Multipure is top range, and they filter out the most off all toxins.
