My in home childcare provider put flyers all over with the numbers you could rip off. I found her when I was sitting in the break room at work it was stuck on the bulletin board and I gave her a call. It said reliable, reasonable rates, day & night time childcare provided. So I think that posting the flyers would work pretty good and she was certified by the state so she can except DES clients and she said she has received a lot of phone calls that she has to turn away cause she already has 6 children filling the spots.

You could try backpage.com it's free to advertise there. Also there is thr Tucson Shopper, that everyone gets in the mail. And I've seen a few ads here on Mamamsource. I'm going to need a child care provider for my 3 yr old soon, so you could e-mail me and we could discuss that, too. ____@____.com

One thing you can do is talk to the parents of the kids you currently watch. They may know of someone looking for child care.

When my (now) 6 year old had to go to child care, we got a "recommendation" from someone my husband worked with. That was how we found our provider - and she was the BEST. My daughter still talks about going to see Ama.

Use the parents as advertisements. They can put the word out that they know of good child care and pass your number along.

I'm not sure how you can get on their list, but there's a non-profit organization in Tucson called, Child & Family Resources, Inc. Their phone number is ###-###-####

Another suggestion is to see if you can leave some contact information at a breastfeeding support group. I used to go to one at Northwest Hospital's Women's Center and I remember a Mom telling the group she was going to do childcare and she did get some business that way. I think St. Joseph's and TMC also have these support groups.

Tucson Mom's has advertising on their website:

Good Luck!
