Looking for Train Rides

Hello Mamas,
My 2 year old son keeps asking to go on a train ride. Besides the DART and TRE, can anyone recommend a place that has train rides? I would prefer something in the Southern part of the Metroplex but willing to drive North if I have to.

What can I do next?

Have you considered the train outside of the zoo? It goes for about 45 minutes and it's really cheap! My 2 year old loved it!!

I agree. Try the Forest Park Miniature Railroad (www.fpmt.us) We love it.

I back up the suggestion for the Forest Park train. We have done it for years and it's always alot of fun.

There is the Forrest Park Miniature train:
2100 Colonial Parkway
Fort Worth, TX 76109-1027
It's right by the Fort Worth Zoo. I haven't had a chance to go out there for that with my kids- but it looks like fun! It's a 5 mile ride- so it's not too long!
they are also doing the Polar Express train rides at the Stock yards in Dallas- my son went there for a field trip- I think the cost for that one it $10.
Have fun!
