I have a 19 month old son that loves to get outside and I can't seem to find any toddler-friendly parks in Woodstock. I am also 7 months pregnant and can't climb the jungle gyms with him anymore, so want to find suitable ones that he can do.

What can I do next?

There is a Woodstock park on HWY 5 (North of HWY 92) that just opened a new AWESOME playground this past weekend. I'm not sure of the name but travel north on HWY 5 and it will be on your right just after passing the 'Little River' bridge. I will be taking my daughter (22 months old) today if not tomorrow after work.

I will be moving to your area in a few months and have a 10 month old right now and hopefully another one on the way by then.
I am relocating from MASS. How do you like living in Woodstock?

Hi I live in the Acworth area but came from Roswell. If you don't mind the ride to Roswell The Roswell Rec Park off Woodstock road is the best I found because it has two areas one fenced in for little ones and pregnant friendly fun sandboxes etc.
I have been to several in your area but they seem to have older kid equipment
Hope that helps

I am not sure where in Woodstock you live, but there is a wounderfully kid friendly park in Acworth, at LAke Acworth (off 92) called Cauble Park. Jungle Gyms, swings, slides, tire swing, beach, toddler area, baby swings, and nature trail. There is even picnic areas to have lunch. You can e-mail me if you need directions from you are. Hope that helps!

Hi, Amy! My daughter is two.

You know where the HUGE Baptist church is on Hwy 92 near Trickum? Turn onto Neese Road and keep going and going and going... past the church, past their playground... maybe a mile or two down Neese there is a playground with a baseball field and a pond with ducks and geese. I add the disclaimer that my husband was with me that day and he was trying desperately to fly a kite, so I don't know if the playground is great for toddlers. I've been meaning to go back and check it out. Good luck!

There is also a FANTASTIC park waaaay down Hwy-92 after it turns into Holcomb Bridge, past 400. It's a bit of a drive, especially given current fuel prices, but I end up there sometimes when I am meeting one of my friends who has a two-year-old.

Take care!

Hi Amy! I saw that someone already told you about Will's Park, I would also highly recommend it... it's my favorite! I go there from Cumming just because I love it so much. And the toddler section provides a good amount of shade which is really nice in the summertime. However, I think there is a better way for you to get there from where you live. You can go down Hwy 92 towards Roswell and take left onto Hardscrabble Road (after the Target). Go all the way down that road, then left onto Crabapple, right onto Houze Rd. then next left onto Rucker Road. Go down Rucker a couple miles (turns into Old Milton Pkwy) and the park is right there on the right. You won't miss it.Good luck with your new baby!

Hi A.,

I live in the same area (off of E. Cherokee). There is a great park on Rucker Rd, right where it turns into two lanes going toward Alpharetta. It's called Will's Park. It has a total of three playgourds, a great walking path, and then ballfields. One of the parks is separated by age range.

There is also a park being built on Canton Hwy - it's called something like Bella Industrial or something....It's right after the ballfields on your right (actually, you could probably get to it by going through the ballpark).

Other than that, I'm new to the area, so that's all I've found so far. If you want to get together sometime, let me know. I have a 10-month-old who loves to swing!

Hope that helps!

The huge church, The First Baptist Church of Woodstock has a playground that is very kid friendly. It's called Kidstock. It's open to the public and the toddler section is seperate from the big kids area. It's great!!!! Parents can sit around and talk and the kids have a blast. Let me know if you have trouble finding it. Where do you live. I live in Kinsgate off Trickum and 92. I'm in a playgroup in our subdivision once a week on Wednesday mornings at 10:00. We also workout together two days a week at Fellowship Church in Roswell that has a great kids program, while we get healthier.
I would love for you to join us. Let me know.
