There is free story time offered at all Chicago Public Libraries, call to find exact times. Also, Barnes and Nobles offers it too....there are also free events in parks. Check Chicago Park district website.

Check with your Village for village programs or your local library for story hour.
PotteryBarn has story times during the week as well. Check with a store near you for details.
Have you signed up with meetup.com? After you join online you will be informed of their upcoming activities. A great place to meet other moms too.

Check on Gymboree Play's website, they've got lots of classes for tots.

Check the Chicago Park district near you (or any other local park district), although not much going on in the summer. Also your local library might have something.
