So What Happened?

Thanks to the few responses I got. They were helpful. I went to the local library to put the dvds on hold as they are quite expensive. I will try these and see how my child responds. Once again, thanks for the help.

I checked out the Signing Times DVDs from the library and liked them. They were easy to follow and kept my son's interest so I could learn the signs.

I cannot say enough about Signing Time DVD's We have probably 15 and they were the best thing for our children. The 2 older ones still do the signing but more importantly before they spoke they were able to communicate with us. Baby number 3 is starting to watch them. She loves them and the music is fun for the older ones to dance and sign to while she is now in the learning process. Great great tool and sometimes they even come to NYC so you can see them....... I went with the older 2 a year or so ago and they had a great time doing the songs and showing the signs. Great investment and they will watch even when they know the signs. Hope this helps!!!!

I cannot say enough about the Signing Time dvds. They have four Baby Signing Time dvds that also have cds with all of the songs and then they have numerous Signing Time options. We started with the Baby four set first and LOVE what they did for our daughter. No tantrums whatsoever because she could literally tell us what she wanted/needed. She was a very early talker and I think the signing really helped her because we would constantly repeat verbally what she was signing to us. She then would sign and speak at the same time. We also played the cds in the car so she got an extra dose. Truly, cannot say enough about the positive impact it had on our daughter and us for that matter.
