Looking for Reasonably Priced Kid Furniture

My 10 year old twins are finally getting their own rooms, and we're looking to buy another set of kid bedroom furniture. I've checked all the usual places, (Ikea, Target) and am having a tough time finding something that will a)fit in the small, awkard space we have, b)not cost us an arm and a leg, and c)not be such completely poor quality that it falls apart before she's a teenager. We had a favorite kid furniture store, but I think it's gone out of business. Anybody have a good shopping experience they'd like to share?

What can I do next?

Bergstroms Children's store in Anaheim has great bedroom sets that are great quality. I have only had great experiences there.

Great store in Costa Mesa off of the 55/ Dyer called "Kids Rooms". We have bought a kids armoire and desk. Great prices, but good quality and a lot of choices. Your 10 year olds will love the beds with slides, desks underneath, beds wih drawers and shelving, etc. Good luck!

We got my kids furniture from furniture2go.com

It is great quality and shipping doesn't take long at all. We liked their stuff so much that anytime we are looking for something new, we check their site first.

Hope this helps.

I bought my son's bunk bed from Kids Room in Santa Ana (they also have a location in Torrance). I was thrilled with the economical price, the selection, the service, and the quality. He's had the bed for 4 years now and it's still strong and in excellent condition. I highly recommend you check them out. Their website is http://www.kidsroom2000.com/.

I was SHOCKED to find our son's twin bedframe at Kmart! It is really good quality, solid wood, and closely resembles one I had been looking at in the Company Kids catalog. The best thing is that we paid less than $150, as compared to nearly $800 for the one from Company Kids. Kmart was not even on my list of places to look for bedroom furniture, but check it out. You may find just what you're looking for!

ps. The furniture was kind of hidden in the infant/baby aisles near the strollers. I would not have thought to look there either.

I have been happy w/ what i bought at Ikea for my boys. @ loft beds and desks. Nothing fancy-but 2 years and they are still totally sturdy.

Sometimes you can get amazing deals at consignment stores or Craig's List if you aren't concerned about "used furniture". There is a huge consignment store in Foothill Ranch and Newport Beach.
