We moved from Skokie to Lombard 4 years ago and used Jane Beckworth as a referral from a friend out here. She works for JW Reedy on Main St. She was patient and worked with use commuting to Lombard while I was 7 months pregnant!
My husband and I are looking for a new home in the Lombard/Villa Park area. We have been looking since May but have not really been looking since Thanksgiving. Our agent is nice, but she doesn't seem to want to help us anymore. I know it have been a while, but we just have come across anything we have liked. We need someone who has patience, my husband is very very critical of what he sees. We need someone who will help us look and maybe actually say here is one you might like. (our agent won't do that) She put us on the MLS and that was that. If you are a agent or know of a good one please let me know.
I should also point out that the agent never once called or e-mailed with must see house. She put me on the MLS and that was it. Unless I wanted to see something we never spoke.
The agent we used for our 1st house was great. If he saw something he thought we might like he e-mailed us. Unfortunately he is not in our area anymore.
I have done a TON of foot work myself. I have spent countless hours in the car with my infant going to open houses and just checking out houses that I saw on the MLS just to make sure we wanted to even waste the agents time. I can't even begin to count the hours I have spent on the internet researching houses. I suppose if the agent had been a little more personable we might have found something by now.
If you do know a good agent or are one please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi Mary,
My name is B.. My husband is an agent with Century 21 Salamanca. His name is Jorge Nieves, his cell number is ###-###-####, and his email address is ____@____.com will be more than happy to help you.
Please give him a call/email if you're interested.
Thank you and good luck.
Hi Mary K,
We just started looking also and have found nothing that stands out in a school district that is acceptable. We have found great properties, for great prices, but not in the school districts that we feel are good enough for our children. We seriously looked at every property in our price range in one town, and didn't love anything. We are taking our time, because we can.
Now, as far as agents go, they are on commission and they probably do not feel you are a serious buyer. My suggestion is to look through the MLS listings, go to open houses and when you find a house that "speaks to you," call your agent for an appointment. I am sorry to be blunt, but you seriously don't think that a professional agent has the time or energy to show you anything more, when you have dismissed all properties so far. They probably haven't seen anything they feel would fit your requirements at this time. I am sure the agent would be happy to show you anything you show interest in. As long as you haven't signed anything, you can work with anyone you want. Just keep in mind, the same thing will occur with the new agent after a while. Again, do some leg work to find what you want and let your agent show you your choices at your convenience. Good luck and you will find the right house eventually, if you keep looking and researching. It just might not be on the market right now.

I've known Jasper for a number of years now. He helped me when I bought my home and we've worked together in the same ministry at church. He's a great person, professionally and personally.
