I am trying to find a preschool in the McKinney/Allen area that has openings for my 3 year old daughter. I did not realize that enrollment began almost a year in advance. I am looking for a 2 day a week school with a strong academic curriculum and low teacher/student ratios and whose cost is reasonable. The few I have found with openings really seem more like a daycare than a Preschool. Thanks!!!
The Little Saints Preschool in McKinney (at the First Presbyterian Church on White Ave.) is excellent. Not sure if they have any openings but check it out. Very reasonable cost as well as the teachers are mostly college graduates. Also, low turnover rate! My 14 yr old son went there from ages 4 to 5 and the teachers have been faithful to the program. Check it out!
You should look into Apple Creek in Allen. My daughter goes to the Frisco school and my son will start next fall. I have nothing but great things to say about them!

My 3 1/2 yr old goes to Our Savior Lutheran School on Virginia just west of 75. They break their 3 yr olds into young, middle and older 3's so they are around other kids within a 4 mo. age range. My daughter is in the young 3's class and loves everything, especially her teachers. In her class there are 2 teachers and 10 children. My daughter is potty-trained, but they don't have to be unless they are in the older 3 class. Good luck on your search.

I was also looking for a preschool and not a daycare for my three kids when we moved here last year. I found a place in Allen called Children's Creative Playday. It's at the First United Methodist Church here in Allen. It is not required that you belong to the church or are Methodist for that matter. You might want to look into their program. The director's name is Becki Girardaud, if you are interested. I've been happy with it - kids at a young age are learning through play, but there is also an academic aspect to it (no pressure either at the young ages). A lot of the teachers there are moms with kids at the school. It's a very caring environment.

Hi my name is L. and I am a mom at Primrose school on Eldorado parkway in McKinney Texas.
Thay are enrolling for the summer and fall, but have full-time only, but it is a GREAT program.
My son goes to North Texas Christian Academy and I'm very happy with it. It is the 3rd school he has attended in the area and it has been the best combination of academics and fun with a strong Christian program. My son LOVES the school!!
It is at Wilmeth and Hwy 75. I don't know if they have openings or not.
My 3 yr old goes to Small Blessings at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church on Greenville in Allen. Execellent school. The 4 yr old class uses the preschool program the allen schools use. That's what I really liked. Last I knew there wasn't a waiting list and my sons class had an opening for a month but it was just filled. Jenny and Casey are co directors and just wonderful. A very loving and caring place. I liked it because the whole day (9-2) is used for socializing, music, education, science. There is not a nap time for the 3 year olds. Some places I researched had lunch at 11:45 then nap until they were picked up at 2.
