Looking for Pediatrician in the Wyomissing, West Reading Area

Hello! First time mom (due in January) looking for a pediatrician in the Wyomissing / West Reading area. Through my insurance looks like Reading Pediatrics, The Children's Clinc of Wyomissing and Wyomissing Pediatric Associates are covered. Heard that The Children's Clinc of Wyo is good but really BIG (over 14-drs) and you usually do not see the same person and things have been known to get mixed up. Appreciate any feedback on Pediatricians in the area...good or bad.

What can I do next?

I take my daughter to Reading Peds in Blandon. I have not had any problems with them. I really like Dr. Christine Sotiropoulos. My daughter would get so upset just walking into the room at the doctor's. Last time was the first time we saw Dr. Christine, but she made her feel so comfortable by giving her cups to hold and asking her if she had kitties in her ears, etc. I don't know if she is at the Wyomissing office, but I would ask for her if you decide to go with Reading Peds.

Hi! My children go to The Children's Clinic of Wyomissing and they are really great. For yearly check-ups, we always have the same doctor because they ask you who the regular doctor is that you see when you make the appointment. For sick visits, when you call to make the appointment, you ask for your regular doctor and if they are not available they will tell you who is and you can choose. There are not 14 doctors in that office. They are very accomidating to your needs. My children are very happy going to this office and so am I. We have been going there for 16 years for my three children {16,10, and 7}. We see Dr. Sandra Weidner for well visits and others for sick visits if she is not available.

Good Luck with the baby!!

Hi C.! I take my daughters to The Children's Clinic of Wyomissing. We love it! We see the same doctor pretty much every time--Dr. Ezard. We saw Dr. Cordes when she was on maternity leave, but when she came back, we saw her again. We also saw Dr. Anzolone when I brought my daughter in for a sick visit. I just wanted the first available doctor at that time. They only have 6 doctors, as far as I know. Let me know if you have any questions. We've been going for 4.5 years and were just there last week for a well visit. Good Luck!

First off, Congratulations!

I have 3 children and I LOVE Reading Pediatrics. Their hours are wonderful and they have a bunch of offices. I have used both the Wyomissing and Exeter offices. The nurses are wonderful as well as the doctors. They get you in right away if you have an emergency - trust me, I've had plenty.

Good luck!

Granted my daughter is only 5 months old, but we love Reading Pediatrics. They are VERY good about getting back to you in a timely fashion, which is incredible with a newborn. Their hours are convenient and flexible. They do have a lot of doctors, but you can request the same doctor for well visits. You might be out of luck for sick visits, but we've had good experiences with all of the doctors. Our two favorite are Dr. Kelly (female) and Dr. Brendlinger (male). What I like the most is that I never feel rushed at an appointment. They take the time to answer all of my questions (which is usually a long list).

I have taken my children to Reading Pediatrics since 1991 and have been happy with them. I've always been able to get a sick child in within an hour or so, depending on the severity of the illness. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

I recommend AGAINST Reading Peds. My two foster children go to Rdg. Peds. at Exeter. My biggest gripe is with the nursing services. You can NEVER talk to anybody right away, and often times the reception nurse is quite rude. I dred having to call for any reason. I'm sure for every negative comment there are good ones but I will not take my own daughter there because of my experiences.

We use Reading Pediatrics. We have used both the Wyomissing and the Morgantown office. The nurses are very quick to return phone calls. We had an emergency where my son cracked his head open on a Friday evening around 7 pm and I was freaking out. I called them (rather than go to the emergency room and wait) and they triage him right in and stapled up his head. They even gave me smelling salts as I was a bit light-headed from all of this. They are wonderful! Haven't had one bad experience.
