I'm 6 mths pregnant and my OBGYN is wanting me to find a Pediatrician that services out of the St. Davids RR Hospital. This is my first baby, so any referrals would be great! I don't know what to look for other than the obvious, do they take our insurance and rapport.
Treehouse! I have known the doc's and staff for years, my son is a patient and I just started working there! I've never been anywhere else, so I can't compare, but the doc's are so caring and take their time with all the patients.
I see several for Treehouse Pediatrics. We have Dr. Unite at Treehouse, but love all of the doctors currently on staff there. Good luck!

Try Dr. Gabriel Millar in Round Rock. He was my pediatrician when I had my son at Round Rock St. David's Hospital/Med Center. He is excellent and I've referred many moms to him.
Dr.Trevor Turner @ Wyoming Springs (Right medical offices right behind the hospital) is wonderful. We interviewed several pedi's but I liked him from the moment we met him. He has dual specialty as a pedi and internal medicine. We loved him so much that we made him the whole family's primary care doc. He is young enough to take my son (he just turned 5) to adulthood but not old enough to not keep up with the latest and greatest medical information. Also, getting a same day appointment if needed is a snap and after hours service is great (especially for a first time parent like I am) GOOD LUCK!

We go to Treehouse Pediatrics and see Dr. Chang. Their number is ###-###-####. I cannot say enough excellent things about the entire practice!
We use Trevor Turner also and he is WONDERFUL. I love his office staff and there is NEVER a problem getting a same day appt. I don't have to wait long when we get there either. My family has been going to him for seven years now. I delivered at NAMC and he didn't have priviliges there so his wife visited us in the hospital. She is also a pediatrician and her name is Kelly Thorstad. His number is ###-###-####. I have seen all of the doctors in his office and they are all excellent.

Dr. Gabriel Millar (512-255-PEDS)....is the BEST!! We moved here from CA in 2004, and he sees all 4 of my boys. He totally rocks!! He's a pediatric allergist as well, so you'll have all your bases covered!! He has a partner now too, Dr. McMains, he's good too, and they have a nurse practioner Tiffany who I love as well.

Try Dr. Martha Abreu-Macomber (Kids Choice) in Wells Branch. ###-###-####. She & her staff are great. My son (now 14) "fired" her when he turned 11(wanted a male dr.), but my daughter (now 12) will continue to see her until she has to transition to an adult doctor. We used a couple different pedi's until we fould her, and have been with her ever since (1998 if memory serves...)

I love our Ped! We go to Kangos Pediatriacs - they have a lovely team, great hours, personal care. We have been very happy.
