I have been to four different pediatricians and am getting very frustrated. Does anyone know of a pediatrician who does not have an office that feels like it is part of a clinic? Everywhere I go there are extremely long waits even with an appointment, and the waiting rooms are crowded, and then when I get in to see the pediatrician they rush me a long because they are so over booked. Does anyone have a good pediatrician that they can recommend in the Phoenix area? I'm willing to drive a bit if I need for this.

I like Dr. Colleen Cunningham at West Valley Pediatrics in Avondale (107th and McDowell). She's young, attentive and never seems rushed.
i had changed my sons dr to a different one, we were only there for an hour and they were not that busy, it is called providence its on 17th ave glendale.
I see Dr. Leslie K. and Dr. James Padrez at Pediatric Associates and I really like them!
We have always gone to Northwest Clinic for Children near 35th Ave. & Greenway. Their number is ###-###-####. They run pretty much on schedule and the doctors we've seen have always had time to answer our questions and address our concerns. Even if we are not in agreement with the treatment and/or diagnosis.
I had this same problem but I found what I thinkis the best Pediatrician ever. The only time we had to wait a long tiime to see the doc was on the very first visit due to all the paperwork but we are usually in and out within 30 minutes and the docs there do not rush you and are very willing to answer all your questions. The doc my kids see at this office has been a doc since 1966 he might be old but he is very knowledgable and is more than willing to answer your questions.

For 10 years we have used Camelback Pediatrics. We have our one Dr., but have no qualms at all of using one of his partners (I think there are 5 or so in the practice. They are allwonderful, and we get same day sick visits. They are near 44th and Camelback. It's worth the trip for us. We've never waited long, even when forced to arrive late, never been rushed through, and while the waiting rooms are busy, they move quickly and have a separate area for the sick. I've heard so many complaints out there that we aren't interested in changing a good thing.

Even thought the name says "clinic" I have never felt like I was one of the masses, just another number, etc. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this office! We generally see Dr. Michael - his wife even called me at home (she does NOT work in the office) to help me out with some recipes for a special diet. They are amazing!!

Cactus Children's Clinic - Dr. Michael is my favorite!!! - but there are many Dr.'s there so appointments are always easy to come by.
Dr. Michael NEVER seems rushed and ALWAYS asks if I have any other questions before we leave. He seems genuinely concerned that all my concerns are addressed.
We heard about CCC from my best friend - her daughter (10), my son (7), and my nephew (9mos.) have gone there since they were born.

I take my dr. to Camelback Pediatrics - there are five doctors there and I love all of them and they are great with my daughter. Her primary dr. is Dr. Apley and she is wonderful but she has been seen by the other doctors as well. They always take me seriously when I have concerns. I have never waited for more than 15 minutes in their waiting room. I also love the fact that they separate their waiting rooms for well kids and sick kids.
When my daughter has been sick, they have always gotten me in within two hours of my phone call.
I love this group. I actually drive about 30 miles as I moved but I won't change docs.

I take my step son to Pediatrix. They are pretty good about not overbooking. When we go, they have a sick side & a well side and your usually only in the waiting room no more than 5-10 min, for a dr office, that isnt too bad. I love Step by Step Pediatrics in Ahwatukee on Chandler Blvd. and 48th St.
We've been with our pediatrician for several years now. And I think she is wonderful. Her name is Dr. Shephard at Great Destinations Pediatrics. They are in North West Phoenix at 79th Ave and Union Hills. The office number is ###-###-####. I have never had to wait very long for a scheduled appt. They have a sick side and a well side that makes me feel better when we're just getting our annual Well Child Checks. And the Doctor always talks to my kids and addresses both by name, even if only one is scheduled to be seen. My daughter has had some big medical issues and this doctor has always made me feel like she really cares and is knowledgable.

I love our Ped. Right now though I think a lot of offices are busy with children getting physicals for school and shots so keep that in mind when looking for a new place. I take my kids to Paradise Pediatrics off of Shea and Tatum. Dr Sara Kertz is great and always give the kids her full attention. They have 3 enterences, Sick, Well and even one for Rashes.
