My Husband and I are looking for a Pediatrician that we can go to without insurance.
I met a great Mum in March that takes both her boy's to a great one around 3oth street and she said he doesn't take insurance & is very reasonable.
I am told by several friends that there is a lovely pediatrician at 28th and 5th. I believe it is in the Continuum Center for Health & Healing. This is, from what I've been told, a slightly more "alternative" practice, but see for yourself. 245 5th ave @28th street. ###-###-####. I think there are 3 pediatricians in the practice.
Do you live in the Chelsea/Flatiron area?

If you're willing to travel to Coney Island in Brooklyn, then Dr. Eileen Coopersmith is the person. Amazing Pediatrician. Though my daughters are now 27 and 22, we still go to her for "everything." As a matter of fact, we the "older" adults go to her for a first consultation for everything. Good Luck.
What geographic area?
Try the Institute for Urban Family Health (aka Phillips Family Practice and also known as Sidney Hellman). They are located at 16 E. 16th st. in Union Square. They use an integrative approach, but are linked up with Beth Israel for things like xrays and hospitalizations. I think the website is www.institute2000.org or you can google them.
