I'm originally from Boston, and my 2 yr old daughter's doctor is still located in MA. I love him, and was planning on sticking with him, but when my daughter developed croup last week and had to be taken to the hospital, I realized I need to find someone closer to home. I'd prefer to stick to someone affiliated with Parkland, since we had 2 good experiences with them, but will travel a bit (just not 40 minutes!) :)

I go to Pediatric Professionals in Methuen, Ma. They are affiliated with Holy Family hopital in Methuen. I really love all of the doctors there as my 3 1/2 month old son has seen almost all of them. They are really informative and really take the time to discuss and explain things with you. I know Methuen isn't that close to Derry but I would definitely recommend them.

Dr. John Wheeler, DO with Derry Medical Center (right in the Overlook Medical Park building on Tsienetto Road) is great. He's a family practicioner so your whole family can use him & he's affiliated with Parkland. A couple nights a week they are open until 7:30 or 8:00, and they have Saturday hours. Whenever I need to schedule a sick visit for my son, they fit him right in. There are several doctors in the practice, so even if Dr. Wheeler or his nurse isn't available, we are always able to be seen by someone. My only complaint is that there is just one waiting room (before we moved to Derry our old pedi had a "sick" room and a "well" room. Other than that, we have been very happy. Good luck!

I go to Elliott Primary Physicians and we see Doctor Dow. He use to deliver babies now he is a family doctor. We love him but he is aff. w/ Elliott. When I had my daughter at Parkland the on call doctor was Dr. Northcutt we loved him his office is in Londonderry. Unfortunatly he did not except our insurance.
