Welcome to the midwest! Before moving to Illinois I lived in Texas, too! I lived in Lake Jackson (an hour south of Houston) I've been here for 18 years now. I moved to Streamwood when I got married, but prior, lived in Woodridge (next to Naperville)
Edwards hospital is a great hospital.
I delivered at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield. (in Feb 2007) (Winfield is pretty close to North Aurora, depending on which part you live in.)

I plan to have all of my babies there. They are OUTSTANDING! They are also linked with Children's Memorial and have a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit...hopefully you'd never need that, but it's a comfort to know they are well equipt. They also have great classes--for all interests..but baby related, they have for before and after birth. They also have a great lactation dept.
The best thing I like about Central Dupage is that you're guaranteed a private room your ENTIRE stay....there are no rooms set up for a roommate. This is awesome because those days following delivery, Dad can stay overnight too. (there's a couch in your room) They have newly renovated...everything is new and clean! Another thing I liked was that the Delivery wing is a separate building from the rest of the hospital. It connects somewhere in back...away from the main entrance you enter when you're in labor. --no cutting through the emergency room...you go right upstairs to labor and delivery. Great security, food, and staff! I can't say enough about it!
Ob/Gyn-Female Healthcare Associates has many great Doctors!

I personally like Dr. Steve Binette best. Dr. Lori Hardy, Dr. Doris Wickman, and Dr. Mark Morrison are wonderful, too. They deliver out of Central Dupage as well as other hospitals more north. They have offices in Naperville, Bloomingdale, Elk Grove, and Arlington Heights.
My Family doctor and pediatrician are Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights, so I don't think that will be much help.
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions. I know how frustrating it can be to find good doctors.
