Lettuce Lake Park on Fletcher Ave near USF area...beautiful park, has a play area and lots of covered pavillions. Good Luck.
I need a good park with a central location of Tampa that doesnt' cost anything and has a great play area and picnic area (with pavillons). I am putting a TWIN picnic in March and need to start coordinating it now!

What kind of work at home are you interested in? I don't know if this is for you, but if you are interested please take a look and contact me if you have any questions. I was looking for a way to lose my baby weight after I had Jack at 36. My parents tried it, (my test market) they both lost over 25 lbs each and their doctors were very happy with their results, so I tried it. I was so tired of crying in the closet because I couldn't get back into my clothes, and Jack was almost 9 months old. (You know, 9 months on, 9 months to get it off) On my first 9 day program I dropped 2 dress sizes and 3% body fat. I felt fantastic and had energy. And when Jack turned 9 months old I weighed less than when I got pregnant! It was amazing! So many people started giving me compliments and asking me what I did, I realized I could really help out a lot of others Moms and well everyone who wanted and safe, simple way to lose weight. That was 2 years ago - I now work 5 hours per week (by choice) and have an extra $2000 each month to spend on what I want. But there are a lot on my team working 20-30 hours and making 6 figures.
I am always looking for people who want to help others (do more than just dishes and laundry) but want to put their family first. If you know anyone that you think may be interested please let me know.

Hi- We also love the Lowry Park= Al Lopez, very big and lots of Pavillions. We also found a little park in Zephyrhills on SR54 a little bit of a drive, but it is very scenic, and has a little free water play area, I am pretty sure it is open all year since it is hot all year here.
For money on the side, I am a distrubuter for
itworks.net/losethatbelly.
The wraps are incredible and everyone seems to be on the wieght loss parade for JAN.
I am also looking for the same thing except I would want to rent a pavillon so I am assured of one close to the playground. If you find anything out let me know.
I do know of a park (Glencliff). They have one pavillon and a big playground that is covered. They also have a good size field for them to run or possibly put a bounce house. Another plus is that the restrooms are clean.
This park is in the Westchase area of Tampa near Town N Country. If interested email me and I will send you the directions. Also I know of a couple of websites that might interest you.
How about Al Lopez Park, it is on north himes just a little bit past the stadium. has lots of pavilions and a couple of big playgrounds.

You may be able to search county parks at that website too.
Good Luck!

The parks that I always use for birthday parties are either Al Lopez Park (off of Hillsborough & Himes), or the Lowry Park (across street from zoo). There is one that is right off the water but is in south Tampa. Its either called Picnic Park or Picnic Island Park. Super beautiful for events, especially when the weather is nice out. All of which can be found in the front part of the yellow pages or online.
hope this helps
