Hi, I'm looking for an organization that takes gently used baby clothes and gives them to moms in need. I don't want to donate the clothes to an organization that turns around and sells them. Does anyone know of an organization that takes the clothes and gives them to moms in need for free? Thanks for your help.

I am involved in the MOMS Club of St. Paul - Summit Hill chapter and we help run a clothing "exchange" for families. You can drop off clothes every Friday morning from 9:30am - 11:30am at Pilgrim Lutheran Church on Saint Clair and Prior in St. Paul. We are non-denominational but the church gives us free space. The exchange is that you can take clothes if you need (free of charge) and hopefully you will donate back when you are done. The project is called Round Again and has been a project of our organization for many years.
you could check with Dakota Woodlands in Eagan, a homeless shelter for women and children.
I believe the STEP program in St. Louis Park does this as well.
