My son did really good at Tower Music. We have a guy at our church that also teaches but he lives in Fenton. He plays at our church on Sunday mornings and is in a Christian group.

I'd like my 9 and a 1/2 year old son (to be 4th grader) to take guitar lessons. We live in Manchester. I'd prefer a person rather than a company, but I'll take any recommendations. Thanks!

I know you don't want to go to a company, but I highly recommend Fazio's on Manchester (next to Shop N Save). Their prices are the best in town and my son has really learned a lot from his instructor. That said, my daughter also took lessons for a while and her instructor was equally, if not exceedingly, talented. They employ adults who have been playing for many years, which makes a huge difference from some places that hire kids. All are incredibly talented, patient and make sure the kids are enjoying themselves, too. Good luck!
My husband has been a guitar teacher at Band Instrument Service Co in O'Fallon for four years and works very well with school aged kids. He can teach out of the store or his home studio (we are near 94 and 40). Email me if you are interested and I can give you his phone number to call.

Hi A.! I'm not sure how far you want to go, but I would recommend Mozingo Music in Ellisville or O'fallon. I know you said you would rather a person, but these people are so great and are like a family and I highly recommend them.
I also know of a guy who has sat in with our band at church who gives lessons and I think he is in the Ballwin area. He is a great guy and if you would like more info I could give you his number or website.
Good luck,
C.
