we will be moving soon, and I am looking for a place to donate clothing, mostly adult, some children from 12months to 6 yrs old. I don't want money for them, i'm just looking for a place that will except it. If someone knows about any place please let me know. Thank you.

If you look in the yellow pages, there are places that will come pick your stuff up for you. I live in the downriver area and I get calls from Purple Heart that make a stop in my area once a month asking for donations. There is the Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul, American Thrift for the Blind and Purple Heart. Sorry I don't have any phone numbers.
If you call Purple Heart, they will come to your home and pick up the items. Or take them to your Salvation Army for donation.
Hello... I am having a hard time affording clothes for my 1 year old. He is wearing 9 to 12 months right now. Is the clothes you have for a boy or girl? I was also wondering if I would be able to take them off your hands, I could even give you alittle for them. I could also drop them off at the Salvation Army at Michigan Ave and Middlebelt for you. I attend church at Cherry Hill and Beck and could pick them up for you after that tomorrow if you would like.

Call the purple heart in Westland, phone number is ###-###-####. Make sure it is in boxes and they will give you a date that they will be in the area to pick it up for you. Get a receipt so you can use the donation as a tax write off.

I grew up in Canton and we(my husband and 3 kids 1, 2 and 4) are moving to Texas. Small world. Good places to donate are Goodwill (on Ford just past Middlebelt), Purple Heart (they will pick items from your front porch), and my mom (who lives in Canton) donates to the blind (I think they turn around and sell your item to get supplies for their school)they will also pick up items from your front porch. We two plan to move as ligt as we can.Much Success.
Purple Heart will pick up at your home for free. All you have to do is call and set up a date.
