Rick,
I don't have an ob/gyn for you, but for when the baby is here, Partners in Pediatrics used both traditional and alternative medicine. They have an office in Centennial at Quebec and County Line, and another in Denver, on Jasmine.
My name is Rick my wife and I are looking for a Ob-Gyn that is open to alternative thinking. I am very alternative medicine oriented and my wife is the exact opposite, we are 8 weeks pregnant and in need of help locating a doctor. Thanks Rick

Hi, Rick. I have attended births at Lutheran Hospital (in Wheat Ridge) and they have a great midwifery practice there. Though the midwives act under the supervision of the OB-GYNs, all of the prenatals are with the midwives and the midwives deliver the baby, unless there are unforeseen complications. The birthing center is located at the hospital as well. This may be a good means of bringing both of your concerns together under one roof.
Let me know if I can help further.

I would look up Cindy Aspromonte. She is an RN who works at Uptown Medical near 17th and Lafayette. She is into and appreciates alernative medicine and so is a great resource for Dr's who would also respect that. I am an acupuncturist and so I was glad Cindy was around when we had our son years ago. The other practice I would recommend is Midtown Obgyn. they are also very respectful of that. We had my daughter with Dr.Lynn Barta and she was very open to my doing nutrition or even having alternatives for pain meds although I think there may be even more on staff there thatmay be just as great. Since the second ended up being breech and I had to have a csection...all the alternative planning kind of went out the window. There are many choices here in denver which is nice and if I can help further my office # is ###-###-####
congrats and good luck....enjoy!

Try Choice Woman Care! The younger one there is good and has been open to alternative medicine. She's willing to accept different kinds of therapy and treatments. Good luck!
Rocky Mountain OBGYN - Dr. Jacobson or any of the doctors. They are all great! Next to Rose hospital. Dr. Jacobson delivered my youngest daughter and both of my sisters kids. In addition for younger women they are one of the few places that already have the HPV Vaccine. I have seen several doctors in the office and I like them all but I favor Dr. Jacobson. ~

Hmmmm - as far as "alternative" - I'm not sure what you mean... but my two OB's have been incredible! I went to Dr. Okuda at the Women's Clinic in Cherry Creek and Dr. Watson (he now has his own practice in Westminster) - both were wonderful bedside manner, extremely prompt, professional and very reassuring.
Hi Rick-
I myself like to look at alternative methods when at all possible. I went to Dr.Sue Murahata who practices at Rose and has an office in Cherry Creek. She is amazing and a favorite with the nurses. (I work in the medical community in Denver and have know Dr. Sue for 8+ years.). She is receptive to ALL your concerns and is not judgemental about different methods of thinking. I would certainly give her a try. Good luck with the new adventure.-K.
