Hi everyone, this july my husband and I are taking our three kids ages; 3, 4, and about 10 months at the time of the vacation to Disneyworld. I am looking for anyone who has any tips, or know of any good deals at Disney World, as we will be travelling with 4 adults and three children. I would greatly appreciate if anyone has been there and can recommend good places to stay that aren't too outrageous. Thanks!!

Unfortunatly I have never been to Disneyworld, but I have been to Disneyland and have a few general tips. Try and stay somewhere close, you will need to be able to take a break during the day for a little down time. Our kids got so excited and stimulated that by 3pm they needed an hour or so away from everything to regroup. Plus, napping in the park is hard, even for sound sleepers. We were able to take water and snacks into Disneyland, I assume you can in Florida. If so, go to a grocery store and buy snacks and water for your backpack, the park food is outragous and we wanted to spend that money on fun stuff. I know these tips seem silly, but they are things you don't think about until you are shelling out $3.50 for a snack while your kid is screaming from overstimulation!!

Hi S.,

I went to Disneyworld a few years back and stayed at Westgate Resort, we had a 2 bedroom including a full kitchen, patio and two bathrooms, we paid 400 for 5 nights! They are pretty reasonable, you can find them online.
As far as saving money at the parks, there isn't much you can do other than maybe have as many meals as you can in your condo. The ticket prices are always pretty high.

Good luck!

We went last year with our 4 girls! My advice would be to go to the bookstore and buy fodors disneyworld with kids 2007 book! It gives you lots of info that you will need! Also, we stayed at the maingate suites. It is huge! 3 double beds and 1 1/2 bathroons for 55 dollars a night! free shuttle service and 3 heated pools. It's a little older hotel but it has a full kitchen! very nice when you have kids!

also, with your kiddos being so small I wouldn't waste time going to epcot. Not a lot to do there for the kiddos!

e mail if you have anymore questions!

Do NOT stay on property. I have two children and was going to try to stay somewhere I could have 2 bedrooms so that the kids could have their own room and I have a little kitchenette to fix meals in.... it was over $660 a night for an on property place like ethis. I went to www.vrbo.com and found a 5 bedroom house, 9 miles from the gate, swimming pool, hot tub, entertainment room (pool table, foos ball, darts, etc.) for $1200 for an entire WEEK -- 7 days. If you want to save money, that's the first place I'd start. While there are some benefits to staying on property.... if ou're looking to enjoy the park while not going broke.... stay off property, cook your own meals and just make twice daily visits to the park... while the little ones nap, you can enjoy the pool or hot tub...when they wake back up... you can go back to the park.

we just went at T'giving & I would HIGHLY recommend staying on property at the Pop Century Resort. It is a "value resort" (a.k.a Motel 6 in room style), and has a great cafeteria on site. I'd also highly recommendpaying the extra for the Disney Dining plan. For each night you stay, each person in your party gets a sit-down ($$$$$$) meal, a cafeteria/ fast food meal & a "snack." The sit down meals include gratuity. The 7 days we were there, the bills for our sit downs alone were over $600! Our plan was $600, which meant we got all our other meals there free, basically, then paid for b'fast out of pocket, but it was the easiest meal to eat on the cheap. We got some great food & got some great character meals too. YOU CAN MAKE RESERVATIONS 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE for the restaurants & I would highly advise doing so in July. Also, read up on their fast-pass system- PLAN your days well, but w// some flexibility. AND SKIP ANIMAL KINGDOM. It is an over glorified zoo & the walkways are really narrow- it was awful!

We found some great info at http://www.allearsnet.com/

We loved it!! Have fun!
