Hi we are new to Phoenix and I am looking for a place to put my 7 year old for cheerleading. When we lived in Texas she cheered for the Boys and Girls Club but when I called the two locations nearest us ( I-17 and Carefree) they did not offer programs. I am looking for something inexpensive because we have 4 kids. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance and may God bless!

What can I do next?

MY kids take gymnastics at Oasis gymnastics & Cheer. We are only involved in the gymnastics aspect of the center, so I don't know about the cheer, or the cost. I do believe they have tryouts coming up though. They offer recreational classes as well as competitive team. They are located at the 101 & Bell Rd. (87th Ave)in Peoria. Phone # ###-###-####.

Hello J.,

I don't have any daughters, but since I grew up in Az I am a daughter to a single parent whose budget was limited. I can offer a suggestion for cheerleading. Have you tried looking into Pop Warner Youth Football & Youth Cheerleading? I cheered for them for a couple of years when I was little. I loved it! www.popwarner.com/cheer/pop.asp I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Funny thing, I saw your post on Mamasource and my husband was telling me of this cute little boy who was wearing glasses and was surrounded by girls while he was at Desert Mountains Kindergarden testing on Thursday for our son Preston. I only say that, because my husband was very detailed and told me how the little boy had an older sister and twin younger sisters named Sophia & Isabel. Could it be you and your family? If so, Hello and Welcome to Arizona!

I'm a SAHM to two boys. Preston, 5, and Parker, 2.5. My husband I have been together for 10 years and will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary in September. We are happily married and are very blessed to be parents to 2 awesome little boys.

My daughter did Young Champions for two years but they really don't teach nore adavanced cheer skills (like tumbling) so we outgrew it quickly...she also wanted to cheer for a team and not just in competitions.

So this year we are trying CCV. I think it runs about $200 for the 3 month football season (includes practice and performance uniform). We are also adding a tumbling class at Phoenix Gymnastics so she can start developing those skills.
