Hi,
I've found two nannies by placing an ad in the "U" Daily. The first was for only fivee hours a week, when my first child was eight months old. She has graduated and moved on. Now I have someone 15+ hours a week for my now 2 1/2 yo and 7 month old. The cost to run an ad is relatively cheap, $10/week or so. But, be prepared for many, many inquiries. I have found it to be the best way to find responsible and qualified childcare for few and odd hours. It takes a few interviews but it's worth the effort to find someone that fits. Many of the respondents were early childhood ed majors and I also had people respond from other colleges, Augsberg and Hamline.
Good Luck,
T. Saame
