Hi K.,

I live in Delco county. I don't know how far you are from me but I do Noah's Ark Workshops which is like Build a Bear but we come to you. If you have a little girl I also do Bella Bee which is a glamour workshop. Checkout the website www.noahsarkworkshop.com If you are interested email me at ____@____.com

Hi, my son will be turning 8 also this year and has expressed to have his party doing marital arts. There are quite a few karate places that do host birthday parties and you don't have to be a member. I know Champions Martial Arts in Turnersville does b-day parties and the kids seem to love it!

Good luck,

A.

Hi K., I know the Riverwinds in West Deptford used to allow non-members have indoor pool parties. The last time I checked was about 2 years ago, but the price is really good and it is indoors so you don't have to worry about the weather. Good luck. J.

Hi

Just saw something interesting in the paper this week...a science party where they come to your house and conduct science experiments...my little guy just turned 4 which is too young, but was going to keep the idea for when he gets older. Could do whacky glasses, lab coats, science kits, etc to carry out the theme...make brain gelatin molds, put funky thing in glass jars and label them....etc...I know nothing about this company, but here is the # 866-530-6857, 866-672-4362 www.madscience.org

hi K. - i recently had a "circus" themmed party for my 2 year old and it was a blast. i downloaded coloring book pages of circus animals, blew them up at Kinkos into posters and colored them. We hung red and white streamers from the ceiling of the basement so it looked like a "tent," and had my sister in law do easy face painting for the kids. The best part - we rented a cotton candy machine and popcorn machine from Jollyjumpers.com - the two together, including supplies, set-up, snd delivery cost about $145. For food, I had a "hot dog" bar - hot dogs in a crock pot with all the toppings - everyone loved it!!!! I would definitely do this theme again. The best part - i gave animal crackers for a give away and my house smelled like summer

Hi. I love to plan birthday parties. I think a good idea would be to have it at a park. It could be a huge picnic party. You could have relay races and other games set up to play. The kids could eat sandwiches and snacks and stuff on big blankets laid out on the grass. Maybe have some nerf footballs, soccer balls, etc for them to run around and play with. You could even have a radio there and play freeze-dance or something. If the weather is not good, then maybe you can still do the same theme, but just make it work indoors. Get a neighborhood teenager to come and paint their faces or hand or give them fake tattoos. If you have the store "Five and Below" near you they carry these small skate boards there for $5 each. They might work as party favors! Good luck!

Have you looked at Riverwinds? It's in West Deptford & they do 2 types of parties: sports & pool. We did the pool for my 7 yo daughter last year. It was a hit! My sil's wanted to have their adult parties there. It is a huge pool w/ a play area w/ pullies & buckets that dump & spray nozzles, etc. Then a whirlpool area w/ a whirlpool which surrounds what the kids called "the tornado" which was really fast spinning & resulted in me standing just on the outside & scooping the girls as they were spun past me to pull them out. Then there are 2 diving boards & THEN there is a huge slide! I think it was around $250 & they provide a party room, lifeguard, cake & pizza w/ sodas.
