I am looking for a baby wash that is free from all the junk (chemicals) that are found in regular baby wash/body washes. Does anyone have any recommendations. Thanks so much:)
hello, there is a company online that sells organic products. I have used some of these products and like them. They have all kinds of organic stuff from cookies to vitamins and shampoos. Go to Melalueca.com to find these. Hope you find what you are looking for!

Amen on the Arbonne! I also useall Arbonne's ABC baby products. I LOVE that they are free from all the dyes and chemical fragrances. They have helped many of my friends' babies that had terrible eczema. I feel great knowing they have none of the harmful gunk that is common in most of what you get at the drugstore. If you are interested in buying some, feel free to let me know as I work from home as a rep and love everything I get from them.

I am an Area Manager with Arbonne. Their products, including the Baby Wash, are botanically based. They contain no chemical dyes, no chemical fragrances, no animal-byproducts, and no other "junk." Many babies and children that can't use anything else CAN use Arbonne. Let me know if you want more information. I wouldn't mind giving you my discount 35% the first time around if you want to try it.

I use Arbonne Baby Care on my daughter. Everything else I'd ever used made her skin so dry and bumpy. As soon as I started using that, she started being smooth again. It's a bit expensive, but it's worth it.

We use Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap: Hemp/Organic/Unscented (light blue print on the label) and you can get it from Earth Fare or Whole Foods. Drugstore.com and Amazon.com also carry it, I believe, but the shipping is pretty high. A little goes a long way. For shampoo, our boys' pediatrician recommended Head & Shoulders as the most mild!

Hi K.,
I want first to commend you on your choice to go natural for your kids! You're right - there is no point slathering their baby skin (or ours!) with chemical-laden junk when there are readily available natural alternatives. Savannah Gourmet sells body care products made by the Savannah Bee Company which are made with purely natural honey-based ingredients. Although not specifically geared toward children, I am sure they would work well for kids - body washes in clementine, mint juelp, etc... the site is http://www.savannah-gourmet.com.
Good luck!

We started using California Baby when my 6 yo was a baby because she had really dry skin. My skin and scalp are very sensitive to chemicals, so I have used natural or organic products for years also. For the kids, we still use either Cal Baby or Earthbound Farms baby washes...love them and they made a huge difference in my girls' skin.

Arbonne, Arbonne, Arbonne. It is the only thing I will put on my children (and me.) I can hook you up with my rep or you can order on-line but worth every penny! No parabens in products.

My friend makes great soap! Her webisite is www.princessandpea.com. The soap is listed under Lana Bella. The Almost Naked and Wool Wash are pretty straight forward ingredients-wise, but she also makes scented ones using essential oils. They work great and are reasonably priced, and you'd be supporting another Mommy!

Hi K.,
I really like Earth's Best baby wash/shampoo and lotion; I use the lotion on myself...it's great! I have a 2-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter who both have sensitive skin, so this product is very mild, yet effective. It's free of harmful parabens and phythalates. It can be found at Publix, Whole Foods and Kroger in the organic section.
Another wonderful, truly organic product is Love Me, Baby Me hair and skincare line. This product smells soooo good and is so luxurious. The only drawback is the price, though. But it never hurts to splurge once in a while! The website is www.lovemebabyme.com.
Best of luck finding a good organic product that you really like!

I see you have tons of things to look into so I hesitate to bother you with another but since I have raised my 11 kids on these products and have used them for 24 years I just can't not say anything because of that. We use Shaklee and yes I do now distribute it too but I used it long before that. They have a great shampoo and baby bath. The basic H all purpose cleaner also makes a great bubble bath too! It is safe for little girls and won't give them yeast infections as it is PH balanced. Also does not leave a ring around the tub. These products are natural and organic and never ever had a recall as all the raw ingredients are tested before the products are ever made then all finished products go through testing again! Let me know if I can be of any further help!
Sincerly,
K. B

Melaleuca makes a great baby wash, as well as a shampoo. You have to sign up for Melaleuca and buy it online. I have been a Melaleuca customer for 2 1/2 years, but they have been around since the 80's. Check out www.melaleuca.com. Also, you can check out Trader Joe's or Whole Foods, I know they sell different organic baby items.

I don't know if you're a Publix shopper or not, but check the in-store clearance rack for Gaia baby products. They're normally pricey, but in the last two weeks, I've been finding a lot on 50% off. I think they're not selling as well as they'd like and they're clearing out the shelf space. My sister in law also bought wonderful Weleda baby creme at 50% at the Publix in Buckhead and gave it to us. I like Burt's Bees, Weleda and Gaia.

Arbonne is NOT all natural! Read the labels before you try anything. We use Burt's Bees for Babies currently because we received some as a gift, but it is not organic.

Arbonne's baby wash is one of the best. One thing I learned about other "tear-free" products like Johnson's is that the reason they are tear free is because they have a numbing agent that is a derivative of formaldehyde in them, NOT because they are gentle. Arbonne's baby wash doesn't have that numbing agent AND it is tear-free.

Sometimes at art festivals I have seen very pure organic soaps. Last year I came across honeysuckle soap (honeysucklesoap.com). I loved their scents. I haven't checked with them for exact ingredients (don't remember from the festival) but you can contact them from the website at ____@____.com. I used California Baby, Shampoo & Body wash, and was very pleased with it.

Go to a health food store. I like Dr. Bonner's--for everyone. It smells great and is pure castille cleaner. It does not dry you out and it comes in lots of formulations that all smell very good.

California Baby has a Tea Tree and Lavender shampoo and bodywash that smells HEAVENLY. (It's the one called "Calming.") They also have an unscented, "Super Sensitive" version. I use that for my childrens hair and faces. It's super mild and doesn't hurt the eyes, and they don't use the "numbing agents."
California Baby is expensive, so I sometimes use Burt's Bees "Baby Bee's" body wash on the rest of their bodies, but even though it's tear-free, mu son says it hurts his eyes a little bit, so I avoid using it on his face.
(If you go to the California Baby website, you can buy it in bulk and save money.)
Oh, I meant to mention this. Dr. Bronners and other Castille soaps are natural and gentle, but they will sting your eyes. I sometimes use Dr. Bronners, but
it even stings my hands when I have any cuts on them from yardwork.

Go to any good health food store or a whole foods. California Baby is great, also...you can purchase several great brands online. Organic and chemical free. I also LOVE
It's good to see a mother that can recognize that the store products has harmful chemical in them that's bad for our children. I use products from a registered pharmacy that uses natural ingredients in their products. The childrens' bodywash washes away dirt and germs while naturally pampering your little ones' skin with botanicals like oats, coconut, fruit extracts and vitamin E keeping their skin kissably soft. And with no harsh chemicals to sting their eyes. The bodywash is 11 fl. oz. for $5.37.
