I have a banana costume...She was a banana holding a monkey..she won first place...because it was original and not from Walmart....I can sell the banana costume, but the monkey was mine when I was a little girl.

The Disney Store has Minnie Mouse costumes for $25 cute and you just can't beat that! :)

Childrens Corner had some ADORABLE ones for only about $20. They had a love(lady) bug, chicken, princess, a great funky witch/cat costume... better hurry though or they will all be gone!!!

Party City has a lot of cute costumes between $10 and up. I bought all 3 of my girls costumes there. My middle one wanted to be Dora and everywhere I went looking for that costume it was almost $30 but I finally found it at Party City for only $20.

Check resale shops. I got the Old Navy frog costume at Kid to Kid for under $10. You can also check Children's Orchard (Lewisville), Once Upon a Child (Flower Mound), Rock-a-Bye Bay (Carrollton, on Hebron), and Big Baby Botique (Denton Outlet Mall).
Also, Old Navy will discount their costumes closer to Halloween. They will go down to $16, then $10.

However, the past 2 years have brought a very WARM Halloween. My daughter couldn't even wear her costume one year because it was 85 degrees outside.
Because of the heat, she was a ballerina one year: a onesie with tights and a tu-tu. You can find little ballet skirts at Target.

I have the cutest cat costume for sale if you'd like it. My daughter wore it when she was two and it's SUPER cute. Here is the link if you'd like to see it...her party was published! :) It pulls over her head and I paired it with a pair of black cable tights and a white onesie.
