I am wondering if there are any moms out there who go to, or would like to, enroll at LA Fitness at Park Mall. I am looking for a workout partner in the hopes that we can help motivate each other to work towards a healthier lifestyle.
In response to Patricia's question and in case anyone else wants to know, here is the answer:Depending on what "package" you choose, the startup fee ranges from approx. $50.00 to 150.00. They don't offer the 50.00 one to you, you actually have to ask for it. (I found this out from my brother who goes there.) 150.00-you can go to any LA Fitness in the country, 100.00-any one in either Arizona or Tucson, I can't remember which, and 50.00-you can only go to the one at Park Mall. After that, it's 25-27.00 a month plus 10.00 a month for day care. They also charge you first and last months dues, although there is no contract. You just have to give 30 days notice to quit. Total, I paid 118.00 to start and that includes my last month. If you think that might work for you, let me know. Also, if you go in and request it, they will give you a one week free trial membership.
I was wondering what the cost was to sign up per month. If I can afford it I would love to be a workout partner I have been trying to get in the swing of things for a few months now. I am taking a weigth training class at Pima that starts on oct. 19th so I am ready to give it my all and get back into shape. If it doesn't work out I hope that you find someone.

Firstly, GOOD FOR YOU for getting out there and getting motivated! I live in Rita Ranch, and wonder if you are nearby? I too, am ready for a change after 4 kids, and 40 pounds extra - LOL. LA Fitness is a drive for me though - so I wondered about carpooling if you lived near me?
