My daughter will be making her first communion comming up this year and we have started pricing dresses. They can be expensive so I wanted to know if anyone has ideas on where I might be able to get a fancy one without spending a ton. Any beautiful modest white dress, floor or calf length for a size 7 girl will work.
Just a thought, I see that you have 4 kiddos, any other daughters been thru that sacrament yet? If so, what about making it a "family" dress? We did this with our baptism dress. I wore it, my sister wore it, and now my daughter wore it. (We will continue to do this) We had all of our initials and baptism dates embroidered on the slip part of it. I think it's sort of a neat idea and would be neat for a first communion dress as well. :)
Costco has their easter dresses out and I saw an all white one. I think it was around $16.00 - $20. It was very cute. I was at the Costco in Grapevine/Southlake. Good luck.

No promises but I think it's either size 7 or 10...it can be altered and if she's small in stature it'll be perfect. White, modest. It was my daughter's flower girl dress.
And who can't afford free right??

I don't know if they have any communion dresses, but I know Kid to Kid in Allen takes in really good clothes, you can try there. Also, if you want something new, JCPenney usually has First Communion Dresses and I always find them to be reasonable, especially if you catch them on sale.
