M.,
I saw a very similar one at a store in Concord, across the street from the Lexus dealership on Market and Concord Ave. This was a few years ago.
good Luck! M
Years ago, my niece and nephew had a cool bunk bed in the shape of a playhouse. It could also be used as a playhouse below and a bed above. I recall it being mostly white hard plastic (much like the Fisher Price outdoor playhouses).
Do you remember this item? What was it called? Who made it? Have you seen one anywhere? If you have links to pages, that would be sooooo helpful.
Thanks so vey much!

Hi,
I was at Becks (I think it was in Rancho Cordova) and they had a Doll house and a castle bed for the boys. It was very cute!
It was made by little tikes. Like a loft, playhouse underneath.
i actually have one of these bed your talking about. its plastic, like the outdoor play houses and its a twin size bed on the top and a play house on the bottom with a swing door and two windows.

M., I just bought the bed one of the responses are talking about. It is purple and made of wood. If you go to ebay and type in doll house bed you can see it. It is expensive but so much fun. I bought mine from a wood shop on Camden and Union, I could find the name and number if you are in the San Jose area.

Look into Berg Furniture. My family used to own a small business, part of which was furniture. I saw them several times at the World Trade Center in Dallas (I went every summer for 10 years, for market). It seems like a good line. I just never bought from them because the wanted too high of an opening order. I think there are some dealers in the San Jose or San Francisco area.
I saw one at Beck's a few months ago. I don't know if you are looking for a girl or a boy... this particular one was very girlie... maybe even princess-y.
M.,
Try Goore's they have a lot of interesting Kid Beds.

I don't know the particularly one you are talking about, but the "style" is usually referred to and sold as a "lofted" bed. Do a google search with something like "lofted playhouse kids bed" or something similar, and see what comes up!

I see these all the time on craigslist. It's called a loft bed (even though it isn't as tall as the regular loft beds). This is a child's loft bed and some have forts underneath and some have slides.. I've seen one that looked like a castle. They look like a lot of fun!! I would go on craigslist and search for one in your area. You can get a good deal on craigslist too, I know they are VERY expensive brand new. Good Luck!
Ohh, I did a quick search on craigslist for Sacramento and didn't see one currently so I did a yahoo search and came up with this site.. there are quite a few ideas.

wish I had the link, but we bought my step-daughter a similar thing, and there was something just like what you are talking about but not plastic it looked like a purple playhouse with a loft bed on the top. the best suggestion I can make is to google "loft bed" or loftbed playhouse there are lots of cool designs out there
I saw one like you described in a Pottery Barn Kids catalogue recently. I don't think it's exactly what you described, but similar with bunk bed on top and playhouse on bottom.
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10123996
This one from Ikea is a reversible loft and you could make it playhouse-like underneath with curtains or cardboard walls(though it isn't tall enough to stand upright underneath.) They also sell a tent that clips to the fram. We call it our son's tunnel bed. We like the bed, but it was FRUSTRATING to assemble! Just putting it out there because if price is an issue, it is more affordable than the Pottery Barn one.
Good luck in your quest: sounds like a cool bed!
i am actually selling the EXACT thing you're looking for on craigslist. Mint condition. On the top its a bed and then below its a little play area. its mostly white and then yellow on top. Call ###-###-####. i can send you pictures and negotiate a price. Thank you.
I saw something very similar to what you are describing in the current Pottery Barn catalog.
I saw this one at Pottery Barn

Good luck with your search.
Hi - I saw one similar in a recent Pottery Barn Kids catalog. I don't think it's plastic, probably wood, but the bottom was a playhouse the the top of it was a loft for the bed. It was really cool... Goodluck!
I know this was asked 3 yrs ago, I found it because I have the bed you are refering to! It is a fisher price bed. I bought it used and am now selling it on craigslist and am looking for it as well to find out what price I should ask for it? If anyone has info on this be please respond to ____@____.com
Thanks
There is a company called Matrix that carries customizable children's furniture, so you can create your own bed/playhouse/loft etc. Their website is http://www.maxtrixkids.com/
They may have a list of retailers on their website, but I know that Baby Super in San Jose carries them.
