I am looking for a place to get my daughters ears pierced. I know Claire's at the Mall offers it but I was wondering if anyone new of another place. I know some pediatricians do them but mine does not.
Here is some advice. Wherever you decide to go, make sure that they pierce both ears at the same time. It will make the entire experience less horrible for you and the baby. Unfortunately, I got my daughter's ears pierced at Wal-mart. It was horrible to watch them do the second ear. Luckily, that was the only one she felt. I think the first ear took her by surprise. I got my oldest daughter's ears pierced at Clairs and would NOT recomend it. They got one of them in crooked so once I took out the original earring it was almost impossible to get a new one back in. I got my second daughter's done at Wal-Mart (I-80 and Beltline) and we didn't have any trouble. Just be sure there are two piercers there so they can do both ears at once.
When my dd was 3 she wanted her ears pierce and we ended up getting them done at Wal-mart -- they were the only place that would do both ears at the same time. All the places in the mall we went to would not do them both at the same time. Also, depending on her age - you can actually buy a kit at Wal-mart/Target to do it yourself (I think the age limit is like 10 months or younger).
When my daughter was 6 mo. I took her to Claire's at Town East mall. They were very nice and they did both ears at the same time so she did not have to go through it twice. I was even able to get her some 14k earrings.
