Hi J.,

Dr. Nale is my daughter's pediatrician and he is by and far the best pediatrician out there. I am in the healthcare business and was not happy with her first pediatrician. I got a referral to Dr. Nale from my neighbor who has four children and swore he was the best.

I went in to interview him I found that he is very laid back, conservative man who loves children. His motto is that he is not a "doc in the box" doctor, so if he is a couple minutes late seeing your child at an appointment it is b/c he needed to spend a little extra time with another patient. He would do the same for you.

He and his wife have two adopted Russian boys. Dr. Nale's heart is sold out for kids, my daughter loves him and he is always accessible when you need him. I can't say enough about him!!

There's my vote!

Take care,

We just had our first little one and we went with Dr. Durso based on a referral from this site. We couldn't be happier and her Saturday office hours have already come in handy. Everyone in the office is professional and so nice and helpful. They always answer my questions and I never feel stupid for asking. There is a separate waiting room for newborns and a separate entrance for sick kids. Please email if you have any other questions. Good luck.

I take my son to dr. nale, and dr. karam is his partner. dr. nale is an awesome doctor. he's very even-tempered, very calm, spends time with you answering questions, he's great with my son. I am completely happy with him as a pediatrician. I've only seen dr. karam once, but he went above and beyond that one time. he's great from what I've heard and experience too. their office is convenient, staff is friendly. they have a sick waiting room and a well visit waiting room. they have a third partner who is a woman, I've spoken with her on the phone (dr. on call at the time) and she's awesome too. she only works two days a week right now (I think) because she has a baby.

I really like their practice!

I was referred by my ob/gyn to Dr. Barbara Durso. And I do not recommend her. I think the principal in the offie she is from is ok, I have met him. Hi sname is Dr. Larry Gray (he owns or runs the practice that she works out of). But, she lacks complete compassion. She visited my son when he was born because I selected her as my pedi based on my ob/gym recommendation. I recall laying in bed after my c-section (she never congratulated my husband and I). And when I asked her simple questions, she spoke back to me and was very condenscending (like -- how I was to know the smallest of details - I was a first time Mom and clearly I could have asked her whether the sky was blue - and she said, why yes, K., the sky is blue). She even complained about having to come in on a weekend to do 1st checkup appt's on babyies on the weekend. I disliked her so much, that on my 2nd visit -- I purposely told this to Dr. Gray and saw him on my 2 week visit - but then elected to switch docs. I really like the office of Dr. Michael Brown -- he is in the same area (just a bldg over) from Dr. Durso - and from what I understand Dr. Gray and Dr. Michael Brown used to be in practice together. Dr. Brown is patient - kind, welcomes all your questions - no matter how ridiculous of insignificant that they might be - and will not make you feel rushed or overlooked. He is in a practice of many pedi's -- but I always see him -- and only him. I have a girlfriend who also see's Dr. Brown - and she and both travel some distance (from Coppell/Flower Mound) to see him - so you know if its worth our time to see him - we definitely would refer him to you. Dr. M Brown's number is ###-###-####. Oh, and by the way Dr. Michael Brown was also referred to me by my ob/gyn - so I guess perhaps I just had a bad experience with Dr. Durso - -Dr. Durso is also relatively young. and if you are looking for a seasoned professional - I highly recommend Dr. Brown. Let me know if you have any other specific questions regarding Dr. Brown's practice --
Good luck,
K.

Hi J.,
I have worked for Dr deVillenueve for 13+ years. All 4 of my kids see him. He is quiet w/ a very dry sense of humor, but is a lso one of the most caring people I have met.
Have you gone in and interviewed him at all? The office does have free interviews.
If there is any specific questions I can answer please feel free to e-mail me!

J.,

We interviewed and initially chose Dr. Durso who we liked. However, while I was in the hospital I decided not to nurse and I felt like I got a lot of guilt from her for that. Also, in giving our baby shots, it was a very slow, excrutiating process (one shot, one band aid, one shot, one band aid). She didn't seem to have much personality on our visits either. We ended up going with Dr. John Foster at Pediatric Associates of Dallas and we really like him. He talks to us and our baby when he comes in. Much more personable and you should see them give those shots. If you blink, you might miss it!! Good luck...
