We are looking for someone to paint one room and a bathroom for us. We are going to try to take the wallpaper down in the bathroom, not my favorite job, but I will do my best. If you know of someone who is reasonable priced and you trust please let me know.
Thanks in advance!

We use BD Decorating for all my painting/ handyman needs. He is excellent, fast and affordable. I can't recommend higher.

We have used a guy, Tim Dieden numerous times and he is wonderful! He is out of Bloomingdale, but he travels wherever. His number is ###-###-####. He is quick and very clean, and his prices are unbeatable!

David Diaz Remodeleing in Addison, ###-###-####, came highly recommended to us and did a great job painting 3 rooms in our house. They also seemed very reasonable to me, though I didn't get numerous quotes to compare as I just didn't have the time (baby was on the way!). When I had a question about an area in one of the rooms, David came back to check it and explained why it was the way it was (basically, it was because of our old plaster walls). So I found him responsive even after the job was completed.

Also - you mentioned taking down wallpaper. If you have an old home with plaster walls and wallpaper that has been there a long time, be forwarned that the wallpaper may leave behind a glue/residue that is VERY hard to remove. We removed wallpaper from our bathroom and tried to smooth out the wall and paint ourselves, only to have it chip entirely off in several places. That's when we called in the professionals. We ended up hiring a plasterer to repair and skim coat that ceiling, then David to paint, and it all turned out beautifully! Good luck.
