Looking for a Mother Get Together

Welcome to Dallas. If you are interested in meeting lots of moms there is a group called MOPS (mother's of Preschoolers) and they meet twice a month at our chuch. (www.scofield.org) I have a lot of freinds who attend.
Our play group is very informal- but if you want me to I'll be happy to e-mail you anytime we are meeting.

You should look into www.dallasareamoms.com. It is an online message board where moms connect - there are lots of opportunities to find playgroups, moms-nights-outs, etc. It can be intimidating at first, but you just need to hang out and chat along, and you'll find lots of opportunities. My screenname on there is "hktexan," just so you'll know who referred you.

If you like to exercise, you can also look into www.seemommyrun.com. There are some great groups around here - I'm in goMOMgo in Allen and Plano, and we have a great group.

My advice would be to see if your neighborhood/elementary school has an early childhood PTA. They usually meet once a month (some meet more than once per month). Also, go to www.dallasareamoms.com and register to use the website. I think you can also visit the website as a guest without registering. They have several area playgroups that are listed on the site. Another option is to join a MOPS group in your area. MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and you can go to www.mops.com to find one near you.

Check out the mom and babies class at Presbyterian hospital dallas. It is a great place to meet moms with babies of similar age.

several of my friends and i get together with our babies. all our kiddos are 5-8 months. we go for runs and walks at white rock with the kids. we also go mountain biking and rockclimbing without the little ones. let me know if you'd like to join us. we all live in dallas - some near white rock and some near tollway and 635. we also are involved with a mommy bookclub (without kids).
