Works like a charm~ add 1/4c Era liquid, 1/4c Ammonia to a spray bottle, fill with water to the top. Spray on stains, it gets everything out & it's inexpensive!
Hope this helps!!
I have tried many spot cleaners and haven't found one I REALLY like. I have tried Shout and Oxi-clean powder, and some others over the years. Does anyone have one they really like. I don't want to keep wasting my money trying ones that don't work the first time around.
Thank you everyone for your great advice! It seems like "Zout" was the most common choice. I think I will give it a try. Also, Shaklee is on the top of my list. I also appreciated the other laundry advice. Thanks to everyone! This is such a neat website and you moms are pretty neat too!!!

Soaking any kind of fabric in non-bleach powdered dishwashing detergent for a day (maybe two) will get rid of any organic stain (blood, grass, food, drinks, dirt), no matter how old it is. I am so amazed at the clothing I've been able to save because of this tip I recently learned from my MIL. It really works!
Carbona they are formulated for different types of stains. They are on the top shelf in the laudry section at most grocery stores. Little yellow bottles.
I know you said you used oxy-clean powder, but I have found if you soak just about anything in it long enough it will come out. When I have a bad stain I just put the item in a bucket of really concentrated Oxy-clean and hot water and let it sit for a few days. If it's a really bad stain I will check it as it comes out of the washer to make sure it came out. On the rare occasion it doesn't come out I put it back in the Oxy-Clean before the item goes in the dryer. My toddler got taco sauce in white pants and it all came out. I had to soak it for about a month though. It hasn't failed me yet.
The problem may not be your stain remover but your laundry detergent! Tide is worthless in my opinion, not to mention terribly hard on the skin. And although not best for the environment due to transportation, liquid detergents work MUCH better than powdered. I've found Baby All works really well. Really - it does a great job on cleaning and I'm still using it even though my kids are way past the baby stage. All Free and Clear works pretty well too. I supplement w/Oxiclean powder in each load of kids' clothes. I try to avoid the Oxiclean on the adult clothes because I think powdered things in the laundry are much harder on clothing - but who cares on something they'll outgrow in a few months anyway. I then use Shout on anything that might be stubborn. The only thing I've not gotten out is watermelon on yellow dyed clothing. Seriously, this routine has gotten every other thing out - chocolate, blood, grass, tomato sauce - even when I forget to spray them w/shout, the baby all and oxiclean get 90% of stains out. If I miss an organic/greasy stain, I use Oxiclean spray w/the Baby All and OxiClean powder and it almost always comes out - even after having been "set" in the dryer. Good luck.
HI, I have a product that I use that is far above anything I have ever in my life tried. The company Melalueca is out of Idaho Falls. They money back your product if you are not satisfied. Pre Spot is the name. You will be amazed. That is all I have used for 8 yrs. My husband and I are in the business just for the products and I can e-mail you their website and if your'e interested we can have it shipped straight to you. We usually order the first part of every month so that would be next week or the week after. 7.50/24oz bottle plus postage. Trust me you will love it. All natural too and it does not harm your clothes or fade. Thanks

I don't know if you have a Dollar Tree in your town. But, if you do, I love Awesome! That is the name of it, Awesome! It is in a spray bottle and is yellow. It works on everything! From degreasing the BBQ to getting stains out of clothes (markers, choclate, blood, spaghetti, etc.). It is definately one I keep out of the reach of the kiddos, but it works so great. Like I said, we get it at our Dollar Store here.
I LOVE GREASED LIGHTENING!!! I use it in laundry, for carpets, for household cleaning.... the stuffs like magic
(of course most of my stains are grease based... hehe)
I love spray n wash.
I use spray and wash with resolve in it, it is the one with the red handle and it even gets the set in stains out on occasion i have to wash twice but not often.

I work from home and you can too.

We use DeSolve it. It is an orange based spray. It does a great job getting out grease stains!
I really like Zout, its in a red bottle. I have used it
for years. Also, for whites I use the clorox bleach pen.
We love Bac-Out. It is nontoxic and safe to have around kids and pets.

ZOUT is the best. I haven't found a single thing that zout hasn't worked on, even set in staings. Try it. You'll love it.

The absolutely hands-down best spot cleaners I have ever, ever found (I am a former clothing and textiles major and dressmaker, so I do stuff like this) are the Carbona series of cleaners. Carbona has stain-type specific spot removers as well as a general spot remover. They are all very, very effective when used as directed.
I got the opportunity to use two of them last week.
I got a big red ink spot on a brand new white top. The spot was big enought that it would have ruined the top. The ink remover got the stain out in two applications, washing the top twice, with the result that the top looks like new. Rather than getting rid of the top, I am wearing it today as I write.
I had a berry disaster a couple of days ago - a container of mixed very ripe blackberries and raspberries fell off my desk and went all over my pants and t-shirt. I was covered with purple stains. I put the Carbona fruit stain remover on both the top and the pants. The stains are gone without even having to wash the items. The pants look good enough that I am wearing them right now. The shirt will still have to be washed before it can be worn again, but the stains are gone.
You can get Carbona stain removal products at JoAnn Fabric Stores. Smith's used to carry them, but I have not seen them there for several years.
meleluca makes a spray called PreSpot. IT IS THE VERY BEST! i use cloth diapers and it's mild enough, but always gets everything out every time!
Hi K.,
I have been using the same laundry products since my youngest son was 2 (he is now 11!) They can be found on this website with a ton of great products for everyone in the family. It is www.getitherenow.mychoices.biz The stain remover is in liquid or spray and there are so many choices for detergent and fabric softeners too! Hope this helps. M.
I have used Dawn on oil and grease. It works great. Also, I use Shout on everyday stuff. I find the sooner I treat a stain the better the chance of getting it out. I use Clorox II in every load (gentle and free) and Cheer (gentle and free).

I found just the thing...it's called Fels Naptha. It's a bar with kind of old looking wrapping. I don't know about other stores but I buy mine at Smiths. It's super, super cheap and one bar lasts forever. It got out baby explosions in clothes and it pretty much gets everything out of clothes. Get an old toothbrush, wet the bar, rub and scrub with cold water. IT IS SERIOUSLY THE BEST THING EVER!!!! I SWEAR BY IT!!!
Dreft. It works every time! I love it and stock up on enough to put in every bathroom and laundry room in our house. J. L
My mom used to rub some dish soap into the stained area. It was good with pulling out greasy stains, and it seemed to work on just about everything. At least, if it doesn't, you can still use it for your dishes :)
Have you tried Shout with Resolve? It works for my uniforms.
HI-I use Dreft stain remover for my clothes. It is in the baby department of Walmart. It has always worked really well for me. If you spray the stain and then take an old toothbrush, or any other brush you use to scrub your laundry, and scrub the stain, then it seems to take the stain out. Good luck!
I really like Oxyclean spray (not the powder) and I also put Clorox 2 in a spray bottle & use it. If I let those soak on a stain for about 3-5 minutes before I start the wash, I've gotten out even grape juice that had sat on a white shirt for days.
Laundry Goop. It's actually found in the automotive section at Walmart (I haven't looked anywhere else for it because I generally get laundry stuff at WM), but it works wonderfully well. Hubby has used it for years and years in the garage as a hand cleaner, too.
Other favorite: Totally Toddler. Available at Babies R Us, Kmart, and a few other places. Never failed to get all the stains out of my breastfed baby's clothes, including his cloth diapers.
I love oxiclean spray stain remover.
I use a generic King Soopers brand of spray, I have to say I have been amazingly impressed! My son dripped paint, has dripped popsicles, tomato sauce, you name it, if I spray the stain and then wash the item within a hour or so of spraying, it comes right out!
I have tried multiple things too and understand.
The one thing is with this generic stuff is if you don't put it in the washing machine that day then the stain will set in, it fades but not gone.
It is called Everyday Living Pre Wash Stain remover...
it isn't expensive at all! Good luck
I have to agree with Zout. I also like Baby Oxy, it is a spray and I can only find it at Babies R Us.
I use Shaklee's Laundry Booster and Stain Remover. It works great and it is non-toxic so it won't hurt your children.
Definately - I do..
I shop with a health and wellness company and would be happy to share it with you . Their stain remover is amazing and it has taken out everything.. Seriously!
You can email me at ____@____.com if you would like to hear how you could shop with them and save money too.
Look forward to hearing from you.

I reall like spray and wash. Have a great day! Aj
