I'm looking for a moms recomendation on a gym with good childcare. I belong to Golds in Pompano and it's disgusting. It's a brand new gym, yet all the toys are from an old gym. I also don't know of any sanitation practices. I'm willing to drive 20-30 minutes from Pompano for a good gym. I've tried to make do with this gym, but I never go because I don't want my son in that place. I need to exercise during the day. I'd like a gym with a good group fitness program also. I love classes. Does anyone love their gym? Please let me know. Thanks!
I love 24 hr fitness in Plantation. I go every day too! The people in the childcare room are very nice and always greet my children by name and with hugs. I guess when you go every day, they really get to know you :) There was one incident where a 2 year old bit my daughter and the situation was handled immediately and appropriately.

I know the 24 hour fitness on Atlantic and University in Coral Springs has a good child care area and the classes are good also. They have good modern equipment. I've been going there for 3 years but mainly at night after work. I'm going to be going during the day now though. I would check them out. Hope that helps.

The Bally's Gym on Commercial Blvd and Dixie Highway in Fort Lauderdale. This is an awesome gym with a very good daycare. Have been taking my daughter there since she was 3 (now 6). Although I have taken a year off due to a new baby, I am sure it is all the same. :)
My girlfriend told me that she really liked LA Fitness in Deerfield on Federal Hwy and that it had great childcare. My other friend goes to Y2K in east Boca on 20th between just west of Dixie (between Glades and Spanish River). Good luck!

I love group fitness too and the classes at Bally's on Dixie and Commercial are great. I don't trust anyone with my kids, but Carmen in the childcare room (only in the morning Mon-Sat) is awesome.

I like my gym - Fitness First on Glades Road just west of the Turnpike. Clean and lots of fun for the kids.

The LA Fitness in Ft.Lauderdale (just south of Commercial) has a WONDERFUL childcare facility!
Check out the YMCA in Boca Raton (Palmetto Park Rd, west off 95 3/4 of a mile or so and take a right (there's a sign on your *left* telling you to make that right, but it's hard to see across all the traffic)).
Their gym and daycare are both great, but going forward, they have all sorts of wonderful activities for the kids. (& their aquatic center/swim classes etc are fantastic)).
It's definitely worth checking out to see if it's your cup of tea. It's definitely ours, but we've got 4 on a family membership which has been the way to go so far.
