I'm 34 and planning to get pregnant (again). I still haven't found an OB-GYN since I moved here. I have asked many women in the neighborhood and nobody seems to really like their OB-GYN. Please help. I'm also looking for who not to go to. I seem to have more of those than referrals.
Update: Apparently Dr. Siudmak (Total Woman's Healthcare) is so good they are not taking anymore patients no matter which insurance you have.

I went to All Women's Health Care to see Karen Hirscenberg (sp?) but she was booked up for a month (a good sign) so I saw the Midwife Barbara. Very nice but that was the quickest annual I ever had. In her defense she was wearing scrubs and I really think she ran down for the appointment and had to run back. So I am sure all the doctors are wonderful. The thing I do not like is the waiting room and the administrative staff. I know they do not deliver the baby but if I have to wait 30 minutes every time with a mob in the waiting room, I am going to look elsewhere where there is not an All Women's Healthcare.
I was thinking of Dr. M. Agustino who has an office right near my work as well. Has anyone used him? Any comments?

I have an absolutely wonderful ob-gyn who does deliver at Memorial West and Memorial Regional. His name is Dr. Robert Siudmak. His phone number is ###-###-####, He delivered my 2 youngest boys and he is an amazing doctor. He listens to his patients, his bedside manner is impecable.

Dr Helen Spalding and Dr Simon Weiss in Hollywood are EXCELLENT. Their staff is friendly, offices are new and clean and have lvd tv's in every waiting room. Excellent care. I actually miss going every week-2 weeks now that my little guy is born. I know they deliver at Memorial Regional, but I'm not sure about West. The drawback to West is that they have a lower level of newborn care, so if there is ANYTHING wrong with the baby, they would send the baby to Regional and you would have to stay at West. I opted Regional just in case, to not be separated from my baby. Turned out he was just jaundiced, but I'm glad I chose Regional anyway...

Susan DaVila is cold, in a very big hurry and speaks so fast that you can't understand her when you are in labor! She also seems to do a heck of a lot of c-sections, in fact, everyone I know that delivered with her had a c, even when it wasn't planned. I would avoid All Women's Healthcare of South Broward, where she practices, like the plague!
I really like Dr. Emilio Juncosa.I went to him for many years until he no longer took my insurance, that made me sad because he has a very sweet personality and knows his stuff. I believe he is located near the hospital.Good luck.

I know someone already mentioned him but let me just add that Gil Aronson was great! He delivered my daughter who is now 20 months and I plan on using him for my second child whenever that will be. He is in Weston on Wednesdays and Hollywood the other days for Appts. I delivered at Memorial Hospital West also. Good Luck!
I really like my OB-GYN. I have been going there for years for the gyn. i recenlty had a baby and the docs and cpn's are great. its a pretty big practice and all of them are great. its called All Womans Heatlth, its by Memorial Regional but i think they have an office over at Memorial West and the docs and cpns are go over there. the number is ###-###-####.
I had a baby at Memorial in Hollywood, with the doctor Susan Davila. She is a good doctor, but she is kind of cold. I am Brazillian, so I like caring doctor. But I went to a check up at the same office, with Barbbara Peluzzo, I liked her. They have an office at Memorial west. They are 5 or 6 doctors at the office, you can try them out. Sometimes the doctor dosn't accept more patients, but when you are pregnant, they accept. You can ask the office of thet doctor that you said.
My 1st ob-gyn was a Dr.Carol Murphy in Pembroke Pines when I first moved here to Florida from NY. I love her & she delivered my son 5 1/2 yrs ago. I too am also planning on a 2nd pregnancy. But it turned out now Dr.Murphy is no longer doing deliverys only her husband. Which he has a seperate practice also in Pembroke Pines . His name is Vincent Silva.
I have heard really good things about him. I am planning to use him as soon as I get pregnant than go back to his wife for my usual visits.
I too was desperate to find a good doctor once I moved here being I was already 3mths pregnant. I'm glad my husbands friend's who's wife is a nurse who works at Palmetto General hospital recommended Dr. Murphy or her husband . She had her kids delivered by them .
Oh and of course they both do Memorial West. That too is a great hospital to have a child at.

I was going to suggest Dr. Suidmak. He has a couple different locations. Try him at his Hollywood location. He is well worth your drive!

I would recommend Dr. Karen Hirschberg. She is laid back & very patient. She is at Memorial Regional and West.
