Dr. Michael White (I see him Grapevine but he also has an office in Keller) ###-###-####. Good luck.
Hello,
I am new to the Keller area and I am looking for a caring, compassionate ob/gyn who is open to helping me complete a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean section). My last doctor in NC was wonderful-always available to answer my questions, and the staff was super friendly-they all knew me by my first name. Can anyone recommend a great doctor and staff whom they have a great experience with?? I would love to hear from you!
Dr. Michael White (I see him Grapevine but he also has an office in Keller) ###-###-####. Good luck.
My family is very happy to be patients of Dr. LaStrap located at North Hills Hospital. She delivered my first grandson over 2 years ago and is going to be delivering my 2nd grandson in September.
My oldest daughter goes to her for GYN needs and the Dr. did my hysterectamy 4 years ago.
She has a big heart for her patients and great knowledge of her field.
My doctor is Michael White, he is great has an office in keller off of 1709 and at Baylor Grapevine... he delivers there.... ###-###-####
Hi my name is A. and I wirk for a family practice in Keller. Next door is the neatest little clinic. Dr. Gagnon is one of the doctors there and he is doing my hysterectomy on Monday and I have several friends that he has delivered their babies.
The name is North Texas Womens Health Care. They are across the street from El Paseo resturant on 1709,(keller prkway) their number is ###-###-####
I hope this helps

I used Dr Killianski for both of my pregnancies. His partner Dr Vaughan delivered my 1st and he delivered my second. He has an office in Keller and at Baylor Grapevine ###-###-####. Good luck with your delivery.
I am sure Baylor Grapevine is a great hospital with great doctors but I don't think is the place I would go for a VBAC. They have a really high csection rate.
If you are interested in a VBAC I would check Women's Health Alliance in Baylor Dallas. Baylor Dallas is much more VBAC friendly. They have a fabulous midwife there (Lindsay Stephens) who is very pro vbac. You are also assigned a OBGYN and the OB will be at the hospital during your labor in case the need arises for him to be there to intervene. I would check them out! Good luck! http://wha-docs.com/
If you are looking for a true supporter of VBAC--the best place to find that is through other people who have had successful VBAC'S! There are a a lot of great doctors at Baylor Grapevine--but many of them ( no matter how nice they are!) are known for their incredible "surgical skills." I actually have heard that their are some docs their that Might be willing to let a woman try for a VBAC, but since the hospital discourages it, it never seems to happen. Are you familiar with the local ICAN group of North Texas?? They have lots of people who have had successful VBAC's or in the middle of working towards one and so they know all the docs that provide them. Honestly their are not any at Baylor Grapevine.
Are you open to a birth center and midwife? Their is a new birth center in Hurst that is wonderful supporter of VBAC's. The doctors most known for supporting VBAC's are in Denton, Downtown Dallas and Richardson, although I do know of one that delivers at North Hills, if you are a "good candidate." Having a VBAC is all about how strong your desires are to have one and how hard you are willing to work to have one. I will say those who have it done though--say its the most amazing thing in the world! PM me if I can help any further!
I know I don't know of an ob/gyn in keller but I do know of an awesome one in euless which isn't that much further than you and it is defiantly worth the short drive. Here is the number if you wouldlike to check it out.
###-###-####, it is a small office and everyone is friendly. Hope this helps and God Bless.
I just delivered two months ago at North Hills Hospital with Dr. LaStrap, DO. She is WONDERFUL! Truly caring, compassionate and respectful of your time and your precious one on the way! I love her to death and my appointments usually run an hour, mostly being visiting with her during my appointment.
I started out at Baylor in Southlake with Dr. Angela Cope - AWFUL!!! The wait times were ridiculously long, no call to tell me she was running behind - my first visit took only 15 minutes but my wait was nearly 4 HOURS!! The office is so disorganized (Women's Healthcare)!! Please save yourself the heartache if someone recommends how "wonderful" she is - because they aren't!
Hope you find someone!
Hello C.,
I LOVE my OB/GYN! He will be delivering my second in about 2.5 weeks. I will be delivering planned c-section after an emergency c-section with my first child. I am unsure if he will deliver VBAC. His name is Dr. Vaughn and he is a part of Texas Womens' Healthcare. He has an office in Keller and at Baylor Grapevine. His office staff and nurse staff is amazing! I love them! His number is ###-###-####. Good luck!
I don't have any experience with a VBAC, but Dr. Julia Flowers at Baylor Grapevine is AWESOME! The staff is great and she is just wonderful! I can't say enough great things about her! She delivered my second baby and the whole thing was a wonderful experience. I still see her now, even though we're done having babies.
The whole staff there is great! The number at the office is ###-###-####.
Good luck!
My doctor was Dr. Charles Safely. He is more in the NRH area but he was wonderful!!
My doctor is great! I had twin boys and I told him up front that I wanted to labor and have them vaginally and he was open and supported my decision. He took every precaution necessary for a just in case emerency situation but never brought up a c-section just because. I delivered both my boys naturally with no complications in the OR at North Richland Hills Hospital. Everything went fine and dandy. Dr. Patrick Allen is his name and he has an office off of Basswood and by NRH Hospital. If we ever decide to have any more children he will be the one to deliver them. He is amazing at his job.
I love, love, love my ob doctor!! His name is DR. Sneed and he is off Heritage Trace. 817-741-WOMEN. I've seen him for about 2 yrs and love him and the staff, never any rudness or "too busy to get you in til sometime next century!" :) I had a weird cycle last mo and it freaked me out and since I lost my ins I was hesitant to make a much needed appt. They fit me right in an didnt even charge me and office visit just the lab fee which was 10.00. How many dr's do that??
I know several people that work in surgery and prefer to only go to those doctors that they would trust to operate on me, in the event that I HAD to have an operation. My OB was Dr. Carolyn Quist in FW, but she is no longer doing OB after april. Two of her call partners are Dr. Bradford and Robbins and both are supportive of VBACs as was Dr. Quist. Bradford and Robbins were highly recommended back when I was originally looking for a GYN in 2002, but Bradford was out on maternity leave. So, I would recommned Bradford or Robbins as others have also. They deliver at Harris and also the new women's center at Baylor All Saints (which is where I would go if I had to choose between the two). Coming from a L & D nurse at Baylor Grapevine...that is the last place I would try a VBAC. I know another person also commented on this, so I won't elaborate...but what I was told is consistent with what she mentioned. HTH.
Hi C..
When I read your request I thought I was reading something that I wrote. This is the exact same question I had a couple of months ago. I am 18 weeks pregnant and after lots of referrals I am seeing Dr. Jonathan Snead on Heritage Trace Pkwy. He delivers out of North Hills Hospital which has a new woman's center. He is very compassionate and has a very nice staff. I am also wanting to do a VBAC and he is willing so long as all things look good when it comes time for delivery.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
A.
I go to Laura Bradford in Fort Worth. She delivers at Harris. She is fabulous, but you usually have to wait well past you appointment time to see her. Maybe an hour or more. I am not a patient person, but for her I think the wait is worth it. Good luck.
I too am a patient of Thomas Vaughan for almost 13 years now. He is wonderful. The other Dr's are Kilianski, White and Gagnon. I had 3 c-sections as well as a partial "parts adjustment" in 2005. The great thing about the office in Grapevine is it is right across the elevator to go to Labor and Delivery in baylor grapevine:) I have heard good things about Flowers and also Dr Neal. The LDR staff at Baylor Grapevine is AWESOME. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Here is North Texas Womens Healthcare Website www.myobg.com
I love Dr. New!!! He is in the professional building of Baylor Grapevine. He is very compassionate and spends alot of time answering questions. He is great with high risk pregnancies (unfortunately I found that out on my own). I am planning a VBAC next time around and he is fully supportive of my decision.
I am seeing Dr. Cope in Grapevine. She is one of the few OBGYN's that wants to see you for all your aliments and not send you to a primary care physician. This is important to me because my last pregnancy ended with the stillbirth of my daughter. She is super caring and very cautious to run many tests to make sure things are going well. If she is on the clock and her patient needs to deliver, she will leave the office to deliver. The only hang up is that you will have to be there for a couple of hours each visit. They somehow get behind daily. She is TOTALLY worth the wait!
I don't know which area of Keller you are in-many would come to Baylor Grapevine for a delivery. If you are close enough, Dr. Courtney Walters is amazing, compassionate and down to earth.
I completed a VBAC many years ago without problems and though she was not my doctor, I am pretty sure she would guide you through it.
I LOVE Dr. Safely. He has a great bedside manner and he is very good. He was voted topp 100 dr.'s in a major medical magazine. He is located in the medical building of N. Hills Hopsital. He did not deliver my daughter but I did have her at that hospital and I had my hystorectomy there in Jan. It is a great hospital.
Dr. Kilianski is off of Keller Pkwy. I use to work with him in L&D several yrs ago. I think he has a good bedside manner and is willing to help you with a VBAC.
Hope this helps
hi C.! i've noticed you've gotten a couple of responses about Texas Womens' Health Care...i see DR. Kilianski! He is wonderful!! they have an office on Keller Parkway as well as in Grapevine. everyone seems very nice there! you'll be happy!
Hello C.,
My og/gyn is Dr. Michael Sims. He is in practice at Grapevine Hospital. He delivered my first girl and my twins 3 years later. He also delivered my niece 4 years after my twins. He is wonderful. Very compassionate. I had a miscarriage before my twins and he was wonderful. He never makes me feel as if he is in a hurry. He is always available to answer questions. His office staff is wonderful. They know me and my children on a first name basis. My oldest went to every appointment with me except my first and last with my twins. The day I had planned to have my amnio, one of the doctors performing the procedure had a family emergency. Since I was having twins, Dr. Gram wanted to reschedule. Dr. Sims offered to come down and assist so that I would not have to reschedule. He also did my hysterectomy. I love Dr. Sims and his staff so much, that is why I recommended him to my sister. He is in practise with Dr. Flowers. She is a very nice woman. She was in the delivery room when I had my twins. I do not know how he feels about VBAC, but I know that he was willing for me to try for a vaginal birth with my twins. However, my son was breech and my daughter was sideways. He recommended a c-section, but said he would abide by my wishes. I chose the c-section do to his and my concerns.
His number is ###-###-####
Congratulations and I wish you the best in choosing your doctor. K.
My doctor is Dr. Royce Barrington and he has an office near downtown Fort Worth as well as on off Rufe Snow. He is apart of a large network of doctors and he is using the new women's center that is apart of Baylor Hospital in downtown Fort Worth it just opened yesterday (which I suggest because Harris Methodist is getting pretty ghetto as far as i'm concerned) and the new women's center is amazing. With "Hotel like recovery suites" and Starbucks plus much more according to the information I received regarding the change to this location. It makes me wish I could stay there it sounds so nice!
Dr. Barrington has a great bed side manner and he is very open to your needs and request. I wanted to have a tubule after my second child was born and I was only 24 yrs old. I'm now almost 26 yrs old, and Dr. B let me have it, he did tell me to really think about it and gave me his opinions but it was ultimately my decision and he even said that. Give him a try and let me know what you think if you do go see him. Keep in touch and let me know if you need anything.

You have had a lot of referrals to many great Drs all of whom I have worked with and for as a prior L&D nurse. (I now own the Nestingplace and work fulltime as a Lactation Consultant as well)
I can tell you of all of the docs mentioned Dr Flowers and Dr Walters are the 2 most likely to work with you on a vbac. There are a lot of reasons that vbac worries obgyns due to potential complications that can be life threatening to both mom and baby. However there are some that will try it and many women are quite successful today. Many today just say nope I am not going to attempt it. Some will say okay lets see what happens and if you can go into labor and deliver w/o any augmentation they will work with you. There is also the new Andrews Womens center in FW that is almost as close as Baylor Grapevine and they have nurse midwives (Andrews center Midwives at Baylor AllSaints) that would work with you. Nancy Reedy is the director midwive.
If you are looking for good refresher classes please call me at The Nestingplace for a review of childbirth or breastfeeding.
I hope this is helpful to you
Good Luck,
K. @ The Nestingplace,
