Hi. I think it depends on what part of town you live in. I'm in Irmo, and have found Lexington Women's Care at the Irmo Medical Park on St. Andrews to be wonderful. Dr. Silverio especially is great. To some extent, who you want to go with depends on where you might want to deliver kids later on (I know not an issue now but if you want to find an OB/GYN for the long haul). Each dr./practice tends to be affiliated with one hospital. Mine were affiliated with Lexington Medical Center which is a super-wonderful place to give birth with a top-notch nursing staff. They also have a doula program although I was unable to use it b/c I had to have c-sections.

Women Physicians Associates in Richland Medical Park (wpaobgyn.com) Drs Eden and Risinger are my favorites. Love the practice though. I had never been to an OB/GYN prior to getting pregnant. They made me feel very comfortable.

Lexington Women Care in West Columbia is really good. It doesn't matter which doctor you pick you would like all of them. ###-###-#### it's located next to Lexington Medical center

Kulbersh Women's Center
1 Wellness Boulevard Suite 203, Irmo, SC 29063

phone: ###-###-####

Alice Wyatt is the Nurse Practioner and she is FABULOUS.

The Kulbersh Women's Center is pretty swanky.. A TV in your room. Real cotton bath robes to put and a very friendly staff and a computer to get on the internet

I prefer a female and Alice is wonderful.

Kulbersh Women's Center

I started seeing Dr. Kulbersh in 1990 while he was with Lexington Womens Care. Over the years even though life has brought changes, him starting his own practice and me moving 30 miles from his office, I still see him. I would not consider looking for another gyn.

He is wonderful!!

I too went to Dr. Silverio and I strongly discourage anyone from using his practice. He was cold and stiff during the 9 months that I went for prenatals there and when it was time for my delivery he was nowhere to be found. The doctors on call proceeded to ignore any birth plan I had and demanded interventions until I wound up with an unnecesarean. Lexington is good about offering a doula, but LMC is not totally committed to the service- case in point not allowing doulas for previous cesareans. I strongly recommend the CNMs at Covenant Birth Center in West Columbia. Midwives are great for GYN as well as OB.

Hi!
I have been extremely pleased with the doctors and nurses at SC OBGYN on Taylor Street in Columbia (at Baptist Hospital). I believe there are even some reviews posted on this site for the practice (to help you make your decision). Good luck! It's so important to find a practice that makes you feel totally comfortable.
