Past experience, the doctor was pretty good,but the front office staff was less than professional .. Would also prefer a place where even if you have an appointment, you aren't made to wait for over an hour....
I saw Jason Dimsdale at Golden Gate OB/GYN when I was pregnant with my son. He is very personable, supportive, and knowledgeable. Everyone in the office is very friendly. I usually waited 5-10 minutes for my appointment. Once I had to wait 20 minutes because Dr Dimsdale was at the hospital next door delivering a baby - that was the longest I ever had to wait.

When I lived in SF, I went to Dr. Jane Fang at CPMC, 3838 California Dr. ###-###-####. She is in the Golden Gate OB/GYN group. She was awesome. She is young, smart, and very personable. If I ever had a question, she would take the time to give me an answer. I never felt rushed. Also, there are about 6 or 7 other doctors in the group and they are all really nice too. As for the front office staff, they always remembered my name and asked me how everything was going. It wasn't just a generic check-in. The only reason why I am not seeing her now is because I moved to the East Bay. Hope this helps!

Dr. Secily Bason-Mitchell at California Pacific Medical Center on California Street. She is WONDERFUL! Her staff is also great. I've been going to her for 15 years now.
I've been at UCSF for this pregnancy and my last pregnancy. The doctors are amazing but some make you wait forever. Right now, I'm working with Dr. Angali Kaimal and she has NEVER made me wait and she is just amazing--and very professional. I also like almost all of the doctors and midwifes in the group--although the most popular ones (like Robertson and Hopkins) will make you wait to see them.
Also, the front office staff at UCSF is professional as well...
