Please share info about ob/gyn's in Evanston. I just got my period finally after 2 years of not having it, my hormones seem to have gone crazy! (once again!) I am looking for a good female ob/gyn in Evanston who can spend some time with me and get to the bottom of my problem.

I see Dr. Forbes in the AGSO group at 1000 Central. She is wonderful! The whole group is really good.

Kathy Puls is excellent. She is the best ever! She is also a nurse midwife. She schedules herself for 45minutes to be with you, so you can really get to know her, ask all your questions and really get taken care of. You would be glad to meet her. I RECOMMEND HER 100%! I'll send her contact info if you would like, I'm just nursing my baby while I check my mail, so I don't have it on me!

Hi K.,

I've been with my doctor for over five years.
She's a good listener.

I am not an expert but it sounds like you may want to see a holistic doctor (If you want one I have a name) to see what exactly is the problem. Many times more conventional or traditional docs and midwives treat the "surface" symptom and they do not get to the root of the problem. If you want to hear more from someone who treats the whole system, female organs and all, then I would highly suggest the holistic approach. I have had a lot of luck using this rather than the doctors who seemed to not know what the problems were, no matter how many we went to for another opinion. I really wish you luck either way because no one should have to feel clueless about what is going on in their body. Also, I would highly highly suggest that you get off of caffiene if you are on it in any form. It lowers fertility and also drives a woman to early menopause. This is a fact. Depending on your age, it may be onset of it regardless of caffiene or not. The other thing I would make sure you are not eating AT ALL is any soy derived products which lower fertility as well. This is a documented fact that the FDA is trying to with hold from the American public. Many other countries have already banned its production due to research and past (MAJOR) health concerns and threats. If you want more info I'd be happy to help in whatever way I can. Good luck and feel well!

I absolutely LOVE my OB/GYN!!! She practices out of Evanston Hospital. She also has offices in Skokie and Lincolnwood. The other OB's in the practice are all GREAT!! My primary OB/GYN was Dr. Charla Simon!!! My last pregnancy was considered "high risk" and i wouldnt have wanted to be with any other practive but theirs!
www.ENH.org is where you can find contact information!
