Looking for a Good OB GYN

I need a new OB GYN. I've been here just over a year, so I've seen one, BUT, I really didn't feel comfortable with him. I am "post menopause" since mid 30's (Odd, I know!), and I've had tons of female issues. The doctor I went to prescribed me some medication, I read up on it and was VERY leery since its a new combination of drugs with not good side effects. When I called and told him I would like to maybe try something else, he asked me to come in so he could "educate me" on medicine. I am not an expert, but I'm not stupid either. I've had so much female issues, including fertility issues, test tube, etc. I am very well aware of things in this field. For him to make me feel "ignorant" was unacceptable. So, now, I need to find another doctor and I really want someone with a little better "bedside manner". Any recommendations in KATY? Thanks in advance.

Premier OB GYN is great! I was new to the area when I found out I was pregnant and I had several referrals to Premier. Dr. Patronella is my doctor but Dr. Andrews delivered my daughter because she was on call that weekend. Every doctor I have meet from that off (3) were very nice, warm, and easy to talk to. The staff there is great as well. I know a lot of people in the area that go to this office and they all have nothing but great things to say.

Ditto! I agree with Heather below, My husband and I did not like Dr. Gonik at all! He tried to put his whole hand up my _____!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe someone else might like him, but he seemed like a butcher (my husband says pervert) I don't like to talk bad about anyone, but I have to be honest with you. He rushed and induced my labor with doses of pitocin just because he was in a hurry! I had no medical complications to require this. Never again. I got stuck with him because when we moved here he was the only one that would see me because I was already 7 months pregnant.

He is great! He performed my first c-section after 5 children (all vaginal). Great bed side manners, very personable, thorough, and polite. After 3 ob/gyns, he has proved to be the best.

P.S, his sister is in the same offic next door to him and she is my children's ped. She is awesome. They work together so incredibly-Dr. Ifthekar Unissa ###-###-####

Try Dr. Todd Holt. He is taking over his fathers practice. He has an office in Katy and memorial City. This Man is great. He not only saved my life, but my child's life. He came into the hospital at 1:30 in the am, just to be with me, even though he wasn't on call! He has great bed side manor and takes time to talk to you. I would suggest that you make an appointment as early as possible or late in the evening. Sometimes they get backed up, but they are well worth the wait!

###-###-#### is his number to the office.

I live off of Grand Parkway and I have a nine month old baby. Dr. Russell Edwards delivered my baby, and I was very pleased with the whole ten months! There is also a Dr. Lyn in the office that I have heard wonderful things about, and I had a visit with the Nurse Practitioner Nina who was AWESOME!!!! ###-###-#### the office is located in the Medical Arts Center on Grand parkway across from La Madeline :). Please feel free to message me if you have any questions!! He was my third OB/GYN because I was just not happy with the two others, but I will definitely be sticking with his office!!!

Premier OB GYN is where I go. When I found out I was pregnant we made an appt with the first doc who would see me and THAT WAS A MISTAKE lol. Don't go to Dr. Gonik!!!!!!! He is so uncomfortable to be around. I switched after having 3 referrals to the office of Premier OB GYN They are a team of female docs and nurses with offices in Memorial City and the new Katy Mem. Hermann. Dr. Allyson Patronella is my doc but Dr. Andrews is really nice and she explains everything (i thought of using her for my next baby but Patronella was just so good at my previous delivery) Be prepared though, this place is always packed with people.

They are both in Katy...if you need or want their #'s please let me know.

Good Luck!!! You don't deserve to feel the way that other Dr. was making you feel. Wish you the best of luck finding a great Dr.

I like Dr. Bram Johns, he has been great. He explains everything in full detail and he really shows that he cares for your well-being. He is at the corner of Kingsland and Fry road in the medical plaza, I think it is the 701 building it is behind the hospital.

I am new in the Houston area, but I was very lucky to have a person recommend me an OB GYN. Dr. Patricia Thayer is my OB GYN, she is very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. She always answers my questions and explains in detail what I don't understand. She is in the Memorial Hermann hospital. Her address is 920 Frostwood Dr., Ste 610, Houston, Tx 77024

I hope She works for you as she has worked for me.

I dont know what area you are in but I have one of the BEST OB/GYNS there is around in the Houston,Tx area (5yrs strong). Dr Anh Reiss ,M.D.,F.A.C.O.G is located at 7789 Southwest Freeway, ste 510,Houston,Tx tel:###-###-####. I actully found her when the obgyn i had was retiring and i needed to find a new one to continue with follow up care regarding my female issues. I can tell you Dr Reiss was a God send. She welcomed me to her office and into her care like we were family. I live about 60 miles or so away from her but she is definately worth trip for care i would not trade for anything. So if you are in the area please stop by or give her a call . V.

I use Premier OB GYN. The doctor I use is Kristen Schmidtt. I have really liked her. I don't have the same level of issues as you do but she is very good.
