I am looking for a good local park to take my 3 1/2 year old daughter to. We live on the South Side of Jacksonville.

What can I do next?

Hi M.,

There is a great outdoor park on East Baymeadows Road (after you pass 9A headed eastbound). It's got the rubber tire material instead of mulch and lots to do. My 15-month old girl loves it. If you're headed east on East Baymeadows, it'll be on your right-hand side, past Hampton Park and Sweetwater communities.

Have fun,
K.

Hi M.. I just found an awesome playground in san marco behing the library. It is completely fenced and all the equipment is new. For some reason also it may saound funny but my toddlers love the playground inside the avenues mall??? maybe it is all of the other kids there. I would rather them be outside but sometimes if it is raining I take them there to wear them out.

I second Kimberly's suggestion. When we lived on the SS (now in Orange Park) we swore by that park. And the best part was we didn't get as dirty as other parks (of course now that I have 3 boys that's a thing of the past - LOL).

Hey M.,

Am not sure about Southside, but live out at the beach and THE BEST park is South Beach Park (or South Park, not sure) between JTB and Beach Blvd. Always kids there, and moms too!
