Hello everyone I am looking for a family dog right now every place I check the sheltors and so on everyone wants over $100 to save a pet. We are looking to only spend around $50 or less and are looking for a dog that is small to medium size and I would prefer a dog that is between 1-2 yrs of age I will take a puppy also. If anyone can help us find a dog to add to our family that would be great and they would have to be good with a 3 year old and a 6 month old. Thanks Kris

We have adopted two Labs and 3 kittens from the Humane Society in Rochester Hills, and yes it does cost close to $100. but the you also have the peace of mind that they have been neutered. It would cost a lot more if you went to the vet for the procedure. Good Luck on finding a pet we sure do love ours.

have you looked at petfinder.com? If you offer to "foster" a pet, you will end up with a dog for free. That's how my friend got her dog recently.
I know it seems like alot of money to save a pet, but it is well worth it. We got our german shepard mix at the Detroit Humane Society when he was 2 months old. It has been a year and a half and we cannot imagine our lives without him. Knowing what I know now, I would have paid 3x as much as I was charged.
