Looking for a Child Size Table and Chair

I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get an inexpensive child size table and chairs for my almost 3 year old and my 15 month old. My 3 year old really likes to color, but the only table I have is the dining room table, and it's not mine, it's my grandmothers and he likes to draw on the table more than the paper. I don't have a lot of money, but I really would like a little table and chair set that my kids can sit at and do arts and crafts and have lunch at on special days.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I'm still looking for a table, I just can't seem to ever have the spare $$ around to buy a table for the kids. Maybe one day when H-E-L-* freezes over I'll be able to afford it.

IKEA has a table and two chair set for $20.00 (at least that was the cost about 6 months ago when I bought mine). My daughter really loves it. The chairs may be just a tad tall for the 15 month old, but it can be grown into.

Try JoAnn's. Frequently they have little furniture and it's quite often 40% off. You may need to watch for the sale. It comes with two chairs (you need to assemble) and is about 2 feet square.

I would check places like Big Lots or WalMart if you're looking for something with a canvas top, like a grown up card table. Good luck!

Ikea has a colorful table (round or rectangular) for $40.00 and chairs are $15.00. They are plastic and need a little assembly but my boys love it. (Well, my older one more right now.) One recommendation is to put some sand in the legs of the chairs before you attach it to the rest of the chair so that it would be sturdier. I'm including the link so you can see it.

HI H.,

I have an adorable table and chair set that is still in it's box, never opened. It is a light wood with laminate on the center so it wopuld be easy to wash after crayons:-)

The table is illustrated with Mother Goose characters with alphabet letters, and is just beuatiful! I bought it at Parisian for my youngest daughter who is now 7 and it was never opened. Call me if you are interested ###-###-####. I live in Farmington Hills.

I think IKEA is the best, cheapest place for a child's table and chairs!

They have cute ones at IKEA, not real cheap though. I have seen some on Craigslist, just keep looking there every few days and when you find one negotiate a good deal. Or maybe watch for yard sales?
