We just moved to PA last year from MT. When our first child was born in MT we had a 3D ultrasound, covered by insurance. I'm not sure insurance will cover it here, with our 2nd child, and our group (Abington Women's Healthcare) doesn't do them. I cannot say enough how wonderful the 3D ultrasound was. Being over 35, it was a wonderful reassurance to us to see the baby in such great depth and rule out some routine concerns. Does anyone know where I could get one of these ultrasounds done? I'd be willing to pay out of pocket, but I want to make sure it is good quality and the doctor reads it well/takes time to go over it.

This place is in Malvern and only runs about $295 for the platinum package. I have not used them yet ( but do plan to in the future ) but a friend of mine has and loved it.

Bond with Me in Doylestown is a great place. It's the only place in the area that has certified ultrasound techs doing the ultrasounds. Their packages are much more reasonable than most places....it's only $165 for everything. The video is great because it's not just the entire ultrasound session. They actually edit, and they only put in the good stuff. They also put your names in the video and the baby's name and set it to whatever music you want. My doctor recommended that I go here because they know the girls that run/own this place. My docs preferred that I go to a place with people who really have the training to do ultrasounds properly.
I think Chestnut Hill hospital may have that technology. Its not always available as I recall though.
I went to innerview ultrasound in frazier/malvern area with both of my pregnancies. They do an amazing job and the place is beautiful and comfortable.
