Looking for 2 (1/2) y.o. Preschool

You might want to try your local High School. I send my almost 4yo to a High School that has a child development program. The HS students are learning about daycare/preschool and a teacher is there the entire time. He really enjoys it, it is a perfect introduction to real school and it is very inexpensive. The only downside is that it isn't very long, only about 1-1/2 hrs./day. Our HS had a separate program for 2-3yo's and 4-5yo's but they recently combined it so all the kids can go up to 4 times a week. Hope that helps.

You might want to check out Creative Beginnings in Schaumburg. www.cbpreschool.com They will accept 2 1/2 year olds for their 3 yr old program on a case by case basis. However, your child will definitely need to be potty trained. The 3 yr old program is Mon and Tue from 9:15a-11:30pm. They add an afternoon session if there is high enrollment. The two ladies that run the program are FANTASTIC!! I really can't say enough about how caring and nurturing they are. The program is structured with MANY interesting and fun things for the kids to do. Tuition is $170 per month. It's a bit more than most but well worth it. Their number is ###-###-####.

I agree with the other poster my Son missed Park District cut off by a month and they let him in. We just had to talk to the head of the program.
My Son was also trying to join my nephews preschool class on a regular basis so the teacher was even saying he needed to be in the next class.

you might try the park again or another local park district. I cannot imagine why they cannot bend for one day. Is the world so rigid that a Park District (we are not talking about Harvard here) will not accept your little honey bun one day later than their deadline? Anyway I had another thought perhaps a local home daycare just for a couple of mornings so she can be with some other little ones and you get that much needed mommytime with baby. Congratulations! Also, although pricey you might try some of the chain daycares they have wonderful morning programs. Naptimes kind of take up the afternoons.
