Lookin for a New Veterinarian

Hi! My busy household is about to become a tad more busy with a new edition of a puppy either this weekend or next. We have had the same veterinarian for almost 3 years and although we love his practice, they are on the much more spendy side and with soon to be two hyper dogs and a cat and a hampster, we are tryin to tighten the purse strings and considering sticking our feelers out there for a clinic that maybe less expensive. If anyone out there has a reliable sourse i would love to check around. PLease leave stories about your experiances with the people that work there too. We really enjoy the fact that they know our pets and family, makes it comforting but i know sometimes you have to pay for that comfort. Well thanks for your answers! Take care

Hi K.!
We are "proud parents" of apomeranian, and we take her to
Petsmart for her vaccinations!
They have their clinic every weekend, and are relatively cheap. They are also really nice and friendly!

When I had cats I would take them to the companion pet clinic. There a couple of locations I know of. They were friendly and had reasonable prices.

We take our dog to Companion Clinic also. They are very low cost and have dental and vaccine clinic days where its even less! It's on 82nd near Siskiyou. I think they also spay and neuter for pretty cheap. The front desk girls are a little snippy, but turn out to be pretty nice if you're nice to them. The docs are very nice and gentle with the animals. I saw an older couple have to put their dog down and the doc hugged the lady who was crying for a good long while. I thought that was nice.

I have not heard good things about Companion... neither were my experiences with them very good. I truly believe you get what you pay for there. I don't know where you are located at, but the Linwood Animal Clinic (King Rd & Linwood Ave in Milwaukie) is a good all around clinic, meaning they treat pocket pets too, as you said you have a hamster, but if you don't see yourself taking the hamster to the vet ever, a VERY AFFORDABLE vet is Town & Country Clinic on 125th and Division. Their number is ###-###-####. I take my dogs and cat there, but have to go to Linwood to have my exotics seen, since the don't treat them there anymore. FANTASTIC OFFICE!!! My family have taken our pets there for over 20 years. When I had to have my dog put to sleep when I was 13, they were great to me and also sent a condolence card to me afterwards. They also do not do unnecessary procedures like Banfield Pet Clinic (at Petsmart) does.
Hope that helps!
