Do any of you have experience with either the Growing Place Pre School or the Cooperative Nursery School in Lombard. I am trying to decide between the two and they both seem pretty great. Any thoughts??

What can I do next?

The Cooperative Nursery School is exceptional. It is dead on in terms of having an excellent philosophy of education, and everyone I know who has sent their kids there just loves it.

If I wasn't homeschooling, I would be sending my daughter there.

My kids went to the Growing Place PreSchool for the 3 yr old program. They loved it. It was a great program for the little ones. We did switch preschools at 4 though. I wanted a more academic approach (through play of course). They went to the Gingerbread house preschool for the 4yr old PreK. That is another great program! Good luck-

Have you looked into the Lily Garden Center in Villa Park? (Its on the Lombard border just east of Westmore-Meyers Road. They are quite comparable with other local day cares ... if not a bit less expensive. I REALLY LOVE this place and wouldn't trust my babies anywhere else. They have separate rooms for Infant, Toddler, PreSchool and PreK. I don't think the majority of day cares do this ... and lump all ages together. I currently have a child in the Infant and Pre-K rooms.

There are some special needs kids blended in the day care because the facility is a part of Easter Seals and they do all the developmental therapy there too. I like this ... and my child has learned compassion from having 'special needs' friends and is often a helper. It's pretty great. There are tons of thearpists on hand from developmental and behavioral and nutritionist too. They are all so helpful in a pinch!!

These people are fantastic!!! They really know their stuff. Check them out at: http://dfvr.easterseals.com/site/PageServer?pagename=ILDU...
