Location for Outdoor Pictures

I have found a very wonderful photographer who is going to do a photo shoot of my little girl, and she said I can choose the location. I would like to go to some sort of park or garden. My daughter LOVES flowers, so I think it would be cute to go someplace like a garden. BUT I don't know where to go! Does anyone have any suggestions, in Western Wayne County?

By the way, the photographer HAS recommended a place, but its in Trenton and I don't want to go that far (I'm in Westland). She said its my pick, so I want to pick. I am looking for recommendations on garden locations, not opinions about my photographer.

What can I do next?

I had my family's pictures taken at the village in Northville. They turned out great. There are all kinds of flowers and homes with brick paver walk ways. There is also a gazebo, a covered bridge and a pond. My kids (5 and 3) loved running around the place and the photographer did a great job of getting action shots. Good luck.

Like someone else mentioned, Northville's Mill Race Park is a very popular place for photoshoots. Here's a link to some pics of the park (done before the flowers have bloomed.) http://www.ci.northville.mi.us/Community/MillRaceVillage/...

I've also seen a couple shoots at downtown Northville's town center. There is a fountain there with a lot of flowers around it and the kids sit on fountain and dip their feet in it. I imagine it would turn out really cute.

Honestly, a good photographer should be able to give YOU suggestions about the location. I would ask the photographer what areas they are comfortable shooting in. As a photographer, it is their job to know the best spots, not the client! Good Luck!

Hines Drive-Not many flowers, but many good sites with lakes, streams, trees. We've done that before in the fall and they turned out beautiful!

Check out this website, you can search several different places in Michigan from this website. The link is http://www.michigan.org/Property/Detail.aspx?m=5;8&p=.... This is the link to the botanical gardens in Ann Arbor. I am assuming that Ann Arbor is to far away as well.

My brother and sister-in-law had pictures done outside at Cranbrook Museum as well.

IT's a little bit of a drive and you'll have to pay an entry fee but I know the Detroit Zoo is a wonderful spot to have pictures taken - a good friend of mine did some there. They have the fountain as well as some nice gardens surrounding the fountain. ANd then once the pictures are done, you can spend the rest of the day at the zoo with your daughter :)
